Stayed here as part of a three day package. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, with the activity guides are at the top of their game. I can't recommend the white water rafting enough, I came back for a second go.

I use Savage Wilderness for all my Sagana River activities, the facilities and crew are GREAT. So far, most of my time is taken up with whitewater kayaking lessons although I did manage a 1/2 day of rafting with some friends and a number of soldiers from the British Army. That was a lot of fun, except my old-man body... More

I randomly agreed to go for a rafting trip with my pals despite my not so good swimming ability! the guides took us through a safety drill which made me question why i decided to raft. Well, i am glad i did it, it was an amazing, exhilarating experience. Let go of any fears and have the time of your... More

I came to sagana because I wanted to do bungee jumping and white water rafting. Unfortunately the instructor for the bungee was ill so I didnt go. Instead we did only the white water rafting. This was amazing on the tana river. First the guide spent about 30 mins explaining the risks and methods of rafting. Following this we went... More

Rafting on the Tana is an experience of a lifetime! A family of four, perfect for a raft, paddling, surfing, somersaulting, swimming and going under was an experience not to be missed. Clear instructions was a great help as we were amateurs. Not any more! Good three hours were well spent and not a dull moment. Joined by other rafters,... More

Spent a great day whitewater rafting on the Tana River, about two hours outside Nairobi. Their booking agent, Mercy, took care of every detail in advance and kept us well informed about pickup, dropoff, timing, etc. We were lucky to have Mark, the owner, as our guide and he clearly communicated instructions and made sure we all had an amazing... I've taken groups of youngsters to Savage Camp at least a dozen times over ten years now, and each time it's got even better. The rafting is the star attraction, of course: the Tana River is narrow, but there's no one else on it, and the white water is exciting for everyone from beginners to experienced rafters. After doing about... More

A group of 11 of us had a great time white water rafting along Tana River. The campsite is very nice, and looked like a great place to stay for a day or two. Other activities that I saw included walks, zip lines, bungee jumps, and safaris. I would assume they have more to offer. For the white water rafting,... More

An excellent place for people who like to get active! White water rafting fantastic and the mountain biking too. Suitable for families who have adventurous children and who like to be put completely out of their comfort zone. Accommodation is very basic & very Kenyan so don't expect too much there but more than adequate with fantastic scenery and a... More
