A fun place for all ages

A little bit touristy, but all the same, great fun to get up close and personal with the tallest mammal on the planet.

The ability to touch and feed the giraffes is awesome. It is a bit far from the city, but unique. I think the cost was 800 ksh, which is reasonable and the taxi fare is approx. 1800 ksh.

Seeing them up so close and being able to feed the giraffes was a huge kick for us! If you are in Nairobi and don't mind the terrible traffic, go here!

Really great place, well organised with friendly guides. The experience of feeding these beautiful creatures will stay with you for years. When we visited there were many local schools visiting, they all get in for free which is brilliant for educating our future generation. Just go - you'll love it as much as I did!!

Yes, giraffes are beautiful but they only have a few and far away, they have to call them with a bucket of food to get closer to you and there is a lot of people pushing you all trying to touch the giraffe...to me it was not completely worth it specially if you are going on a safari tour, you... I visited the Giraffe Centre with a group and it was a lovely stop! We met Henry, the giraffe and saw some other beautiful giraffes hanging out on a gorgeous sunny day! I think they had already eating quite a bit so the giraffes weren't terribly interested in looking at us up close. However, when they did spare us a... More

The visit to this Centre was part of a day tour arranged with our hotel. But after encounters with groups of giraffes in the savannahs of the Masai Mara National Reserve, the experience felt contrived, and touristy. And expensive for 1,000 shillings! The only 'fun' part was feeding the giraffes - nothing else. We felt assured though that this non-profit... More

The giraffe center continues to be a great place for anyone who likes wildlife. It is probably one of the best places EVER to get up close with giraffes and really get to see some of the great things they have to offer. You are allowed to feed the giraffes, and it's definitely a unique experience that cannot be replicated.... More

Is worth doing if you are a giraffe fan. If you don't stay at the giraffe manor you get a viewing platform visit and a chnace to feed a giraffe which is a fun experience. That's about it.
