Being able to be so close to such fantastic and majestic creatures was awe inspiring. Our boys aged 5 and 8 just loved feeding the giraffes. It will be a special memory of their visit to Kenya. Highly recommend a visit to the Giraffe Centre if you care visiting Nairobi.

I applaud what the centre was set up to do; to conserve giraffes. But when I visited, there was a single giraffe, which would eat food pellets from your hand or mouth, then a very short talk about giraffe conservation in Kenya, and an optional chance to look at a few tortoises - sorry, but it's not great value for... The Giraffe Manor or Giraffe Center is such fun. The first time I went a couple years ago, was the first time I "kissed" a giraffe. My group of 25 interacted with the beautiful animal, feeding them and taking photos. We got to have a short learning session from George, one of the workers. They are such majestic creatures and... This was my third visit here and at less than £10 for me a tourist and an Kenyan friend I think it is good value, especially as you are given all the giraffe food you could want. Then staff take their time, are attentive and knowledgeable. Nothing too much trouble. Seeing, touching, cuddling and have a giraffe eat from your... More

Giraffe's are beautiful animals, though it was only after hearing a lecture that I learned there are three specific types of giraffes in Kenya - two are the Rothschild and the Mara giraffes. Coloring is different and the males have a third horn. Definitely a thrill to feed them and receive a kiss.

When we planned our trip to Kenya the pictures of the Giraffe centre looked incredible. We went with the impression you would spend an afternoon learning and being with these magnification creatures. Instead we played and fed one for a few minutes before being whisked away to learn about Warthogs and then bizarrely enough spent 25 minutes taken on a... More

We visited the Centre after the morning feed at David Sheldrick (as it transpired, so did some others from the crowd!), taking a matatu and then walking the final 1-2km (public transport isn't allowed down the road). The main/only activity here is feeding the giraffes that roam around. This is good fun, even if a little daunting at first! Eventually... More

This undoubtedly is among the very few establishments that allow you to interact and gain close proximity to the Girrafe species. A slight breeze hovers around carrying with it the fresh stench served by the ugly warthog which run continuously around the Girraffes just like the seven dwarfs mumbled about snow white. Quite amusing and fascinating is how the Girrafes... More
