Felt like stepping into the 1970s. Nothing special at all. Only go if there is an interesting conference going on inside at the time.

This is a quick and simple way to see over the city and nearby hills, we liked it. Good location to then wander the streets in the city center of Nairobi.

Tourists visiting Kenya can take the elevator to the top of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) to get a bird's eye view of Nairobi. This is the tallest building in Nairobi (as of this review - Nov 2012) and provides a good view in all four directions.

Don't know how old this building is; it is impressive in size but is now suffering severely from poor internal lighting and poor maintenance of facilities.

Take the lift and then climb to the Helicopter pad and you have a great view covering half of Kenya. Better still take one of the complimentary guides and you can be walked through the view from Kilimanjaro to down town Nairobi.

I went with a group and we had a great time walking around the courtyard, viewing the Jomo Kenyatta statue and seeing wonderful views of the city!

The visitors centre is in the conference centre and for a small fee, you can go up the lift and then a few flights of stairs to the observation deck where you have a panoramic view of Nairobi. Only then, can you appreciate just want a sprawling city this is - and just how many people and vehicles are on... More

Got there the day a 2 year conference was finishing. Had the feeling about it that people were packing up to go home. Impressive buildings and large, peaceful outdoor space.
