Twenty years ago, when I was starting out in journalism, I wrote a comprehensive story about the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC). The building was tallest in Nairobi at that time and it had just come of age, having turned twenty-one. My article was basically about the architecture, the history, the beauty, the politics and legal issues surrounding this (still)... More

The structure is magnificent and the hall set up are so nice. We had a 6 day meeting here and though the place was nice, the catering was a little bit less of our expectations.

The view of the city from the top of the building was great. It's a perfect place if you want to take some nice photos of Nairobi. The staff was nice and helpful.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the city from up there was spectacular but very windy.

The highlight of the visit is to take the lift to the top of the 2nd tallest building in Nairobi. The view is spectacular from the helicopter landing pad at the top especially on the clear day we visited. We were accompanied by a tall Masai security guard dressed in black with very impressive dark glasses who made sure we... More

In response to the reviewer (December) who didn't know there were lifts and had to walk up the stairs - there are lifts that go up to the floor below the roof! We were pounced on when still 100 yards from the front door by Peter. our guide, who took us in and escorted us to the roof. Without Peter... More

We took a trip to the top of KICC our first day in Kenya to get a 360 degree view of Nairobi from on high. A tour guide, Peter, stations himself at the top of the building and in exchange for a modest tip (whatever we wanted to pay him) spent a good 15-20 minutes explaining what we were looking... More

We were visiting friends who wanted to take us up for a quick look at the city. There was no guide there and they still wanted us to pay what we would have paid if there was a guide. Just didn't seem worth it so we didn't go up.

Awesome views of Nairobi, absolutely breathtaking. If you love photos, nice place to snap a few. That is what I loved but hated every moment of climbing the stairs. Go there prepared to walk up the stairs all the way up. they need to consider lifts!
