I loved the peacefulness and beauty of Karura forest. You can hire bikes or take a pleasant hike. Varying distances available for the fit and non fit alike. Beautiful waterfall. Contact details for rangers easily available if you happen to lose your way in the Forrest.

Pleased that you enjoyed you visit to Karura. We'd like to know exactly what it is about the map you found confusing? First time we have heard that. We have included all the roads, numbered junctions and features. We'd love to hear how we may improve it for future editions. Many thanks. More

I run in the forest every Saturday morning! It gives me such FREEDOM! Karura Forest is an amazing environment in Nairobi with a lush indigenous and exotic forest with running trails. I find is such a fun way to get away and still be in the city. It has a clean, relaxed and peaceful atmosphere and I see people come... More

Since Karura Forest has been protected and rehabilitated it is a fantastic place for the whole family or just for a great romantic walk in the woods. With beautiful waterfalls, great trails, indigenous trees and the wildlife, a must go for anyone wanting to get away from the hectic pace and noise of Nairobi.

Karura Forest is great for an, morning meditation, yoga, an evening run, a day out with the family or picnic and a stroll with a partner. I love that even though I visit the forest severally it always has something new to offer. The waterfall area is like a scene out of Twilight (the movie) and that's a good thing.... More

For those who love conservation and nature, Karura forest combine the two. It is a place where your mind can be attached to nature. A mile away from the capital city. For me it is one of the gift given to us by Dr. Wangari Mathai. The place is cool and having guided many private and group tours there, clients... More
