I am privileged to be able to walk in the forest with my dog most days. We are greeted by very friendly staff who are always upbeat and a pleasure to chat to. I recommend you buy a map so you get the most out of the forest. I initially repeated the same route but once I bought my map... More

Nairobi is unique in having an extensive forest within the city and it is a wonderful cool and shady place to spend a few hours walking, running or cycling the well-marked trails. There are lots of bird species to be seen and if you are lucky you may spot a bush-buck, syke's monkey or even the newly introduced and spectacular... More

Calm, serene and peaceful. Perfect training ground or walks in natural surroundings. Need to have good trainers.

Nice reserve (entry around $3) where you can hire mountain bikes (bike hire around $6 for 2 hours) and ride quiet, well marked trails for a few hours. Nice, safe and relaxing morning or afternoon activity if you are staying in Nairobi.
