I walked to the memorial garden from the intercontinental - easy walk. The memorial garden is small, with many people sitting around or sleeping in the garden. The garden honours those who lost their lives; a worthwhile visit, especially when one considers how Kenya has moved on from so many tragedies.

Sad to say we did not clearly remember this tragic event. The Kenyans have done a beautiful job with creating this loving memorial who everyone who died or were hurt in this terrorist attack. By far the most touching (not a dry eye in the house) is the 50 minute film (which felt like about 15 minutes). It is a... More

This pretty little garden and reserved memorial was very pleasant to visit and gave a nice spot to be calm and reflect on this tragic event. There were a few people enjoying the serenity and sipping on a coffee or cool bottle of water. It cost a couple a couple of dollars but was a nice little place to take... More

It cost a couple of EURO to visit. It turned out to be a quiet oasis even though it is situated on the corner of a busy intersection. An informal atmosphere and a good place to meet Nairobeans.

As an American living in Kenya I passed this park many times walking through downtown Nairobi. After spending more than a year in the country, I finally decided to visit and was glad I did. The park itself is small and is mainly used by Kenyans looking for a place to sit around and relax in downtown Nairobi. It's a... More

Located in the city center, this well kept park acts as a somber reminder of the bombing victims from the American Embassy in Kenya. Having visited the Embassy on several occasions before this tragic event, we felt it important to pay our respects. On the Sunday afternoon we visited, the park was full of Kenyans having lunch and soda's. We... More

Very nice... I didn't think there would be any gardens in Nairobi being that it s a city but this is lovely, well kept green area. Not sure how safe as Nairobi I think isn't a very safe city but otherwise a nice place. On,y worth a visit if you are passing,

A small, green park on the site of the former US embassy. A black marble memorial lists the names of the victims of the bombing (apparently almost all Kenyans) and a number of sculptures and small monuments remind the visitor of the fate of the embassy. This is a cool, quiet spot in the centre of the city, a place... More

This will not blow you away, but it is a nice tribute to the lives lost in the embassy bombing and a nice, quiet spot to take a break when walking around downtown Nairobi.
