Was able to see lions, giraffe, rhino, zebras and an great number of birds....signage needs to improve and they should have a faciltiy to give realtime information of where the lions are...this will bring in more crowds....the souvenier centre is boring and has very few options....there should be more things to do

Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, and Giraffe Center are really great for a first time visitor to Kenya to see. I would first go to Blixen and Giraffe Center (recommend lunch at Blixen Coffee Garden restaurant). If you are going on a safari elsewhere in Kenya, Nairobi National Park is not an absolute must. Tickets are expensive and there... More

I would highly recommend stopping at these three attractions if you have a day or two in Nairobi. Each is very interesting and very well run and well managed.

Great trip which can be done in 1/2 to 1 day. Add the baby elephant orphanage which is only about 12 km away. Hint, if you don't want to get stuck in traffic, leave really early, like 6:00 am - the traffic is already heavy at 6:00 am and it will take 2 - 2 1/2 hours to get up... More

The Museum is nice to see the house of Blixen. The Giraffe place great to see giraffes up close. The park is a disaster. But at the entrance to the park is the Orphanage which is worth a visit. Especially for children to see wildlife up close.
