Amani ya Juu is a great one stop location for all kinds of wonderful home goods and gifts. From kitchen mitts to handbags, clothes, jewelry, quilts, pillows, and even Christmas ornaments, these ladies make beautiful items. There is also a lovely cafe outside, where you can sit and have a coffee while you remind yourself of the excellent value shopping... More

A friend of mine recommended this place to me, and I'm very happy about that. It's just such a nice place to have a great salad (half salad is totally enough) and a fresh juice. Or a cinnamon roll and a cappuccino :) and the prices are fair (salad 440kes) the garden is beautiful and also great for families with... More

You need to know about this place to find it. It is tucked away on the side of a new bypass and is surprisingly spacious and pretty. It consists of a large gift shop - don't miss the bargain room! - and an open air eating area. The food is good and well served. This is an ideal place for... More

Nice place to go and have coffee while the kids are playing in the playground. There is also a very nice shop with good quality gifts for kids and adults. It's one of our favorite places in Nairobi.

I have spent a lot of time in Kenya and I've never been anywhere like Amani. It's quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The ladies are kind, funny, and creative. Everything I've bought from Amani is high quality and last for years. Thank you, Amani ya Juu!

We had lunch here on a busy day and stepping into the garden was amazing, with traffic zipping by just feet away, you felt like you were in your own world. the products in the store were great for gifts (you can buy online as well if you forgot to pick up something!) I highly recommend a visit here. Ask... More

Such a nice place to spend a few hours over lunch with kids. Browsing in the store is really fun- lots of beautiful items, slightly higher prices than a market, but nicer quality, and a pleasant low stress shopping experience. the cafe in the garden is lovely, and great to have the playground there too.

The products at Amani are all great - beautiful prints, good quality workmanship, and designs that are perfect for gifts for those back home because they are beautiful and say 'africa' but also translate well to the fit and complement the american/european style. The prices are also incredibly reasonable considering the quality - you could probably bargain for a bit... More

The salads are incredibly delicious! Portions are generous, so have a half one if you have an average appetite. Inexpensive, too! However, I found the products in the shop to be a little on the expensive side - not to say that I don't value the work that was put into it, but it made it so that it was... More

The woman who work at Amani are all survivors. The handwork they do, the bags, the quilts, the clothing, all help support them and teach them an occupation. The cafe has the best mocha! The grounds are very pretty and the kids can enjoy running and playing on the playground equipment.
