The museum is really worth the visit and the guides are knowledgeable. The life of yesteryear does not seem that long ago. Watch out for the coffee garden staff and credit cards. My wife's card was scammed there - do not let the card out of your sight!!!

Karen is the most posh and rich area of Nairobi with sprawling Bungalows. I believe the lady "Karen Blixen" owned the entire area once upon a time. Her Cottage is worth visiting

It's a very unique place. Holds a lot of Kenyan pre-colonial history. Beautiful garden and the artwork is unique and special. Feels like a sanctuary to me, the flowers, the art. Take time and pay a visit then tell us if it was worth it.

Lovely day out for a coffee and a snack in a very beautiful garden with lots of arts to look at, that can be bought. The history is also very interesting and the house itself is worth a closer look.

An interesting look at life in Kenya in the early twentieth century. If you go, pay in Kenyan schillings for a better rate. It would help if you were familiar with her books prior to your visit.

Grate place to stop and have lunch, look around the gardens. we where lucky to see the art that was for sale around the gardens, well worth the stop. make sure you check out the gift shop its very very reasonable and has some stuff that you don't normally see any where else (not the samey samey stuff)

Karen Blixen was well respected in this area, and her later reknown as a Danish author (Isak Dinesan) made some of her experiences in Africa familiar. Quite a lovely restaurant adjacent on the grounds.

More of a museum tracing the history of coffee in Kenya. However, the adjoining gardens are quite nice. They even charge a fee for taking pictures in the gardens outside.
