I love Tiramisu Restaurant at the Village Market's food court. The Italian Hot Chocolate (my achilles heel) is "purely sinful" and the pastries heavenly! The Planet Yoghurt is also amazing. Don't forget to get some Fresh Vegetables and fruits from Zucchini as well as some household shopping at Nakumatt Supermarket

We've just discovered a really special coffee shop at Village Market. It is one of many in the Food plaza area right at the end, and is called Tiramisu. It has really marvellous cakes and special breads and the coffee is pretty good too!

Planet Yoghurt is also a favourite. Love also having the opportunity to buy good meat and eat from a variety of food outlets!

The Masai Market moves from place to place each day and is an outdoor setup with many very colourful stalls selling curios and local crafts and clothes. The vendors are extremely pushy and in-your-face and I found this to be unpleasant and that it spoiled the experience. It is not possible to browse and really examine the goods with several... More

Medium sized mall popular with expatriates. It has a lot of small boutiques and even a Mac store. It also has a Woolsworth, a grocery store, and a spa/nail place. There are not a lot of trendy clothes but good for basics or high end African designers. It has a large good court and good cafe. There is a lot... More

Since this shopping mall is located in an area where lots of expats live, the prices are quite high. It's very convenient, clean and safe though so it's a great place to go and relax. There are beauty shops, clothing shops, restaurants and coffees places, post office, cell-phone carriers, grocery stores, health stores, sports stores, shoe stores, souvenir shops, toy... More

I was originally impressed with the amount of security on hand in the mall until the metal detector would go off when I walked through and was told "it's ok sir" and allowed to continue walking through without finding out what was setting it off, on multiple occasions.

This place was introduction to Nairobi...and it definitely set the mood. Open clean air on Sundays they have live music. Many shops the masai market is on the back side on Fridays. Great gifts. Fresh juice, decent sushi, friendly staff and a constant flow of foreign energy that has a passion for Africa. I often call Kenya the heart of... More

The Village Market is a little far away from the city centre; but it is a very nice area. Behind the Village Market on Sundays - they hold the Masai Craft Market. Be aware of extreme over-pricing, use your bartering skills, generally you can halve the price suggested. Lovely gift ideas and lots to choose from.
