I never saw so many hippos together in my life. We were able to get very close to them. Similarly, saw lots of pelicans (and other birds whose names I am yet to research). We walked on the Crescent Island w'ldl'fe sanctuary and again we were fascinated with the beauty of the nature and variety of the wildlife there. Must... More

Overwhelming experience. Got the chance to visit after 3months volunteering and was lucky enough to be taken out on a boat onto the lake where we saw fish eagles, giant kingfisher, caribou storks and lots of hippos! On land we saw giraffe, loads of monkeys and an array of colourful birds. Beautiful

We went to Lake Naivasha as part of our safari. We chose to pay extra and have a boat trip on the lake. It was well worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out the hundreds of different birds. We came quite close to a family of hippos who were just wallowing! Our guide had some fish on... More

Stayed at Enashipai and took a boat ride to check out the hippo farm....splendid experience. From Enashipai u can actually watch the hippos around 1:30pm as they come to shore by the lake from Enashipai Resort & Spa. Worth every dime!

One great highlight of a trip to Kenya is a boat cruise of this fresh-water lake. You'll see many birds perched on the dead trees on the lake waiting to catch their breakfast/lunch. There are cormorants galore, and storks, herons, kingfishers, etc. In one area, the hippos live. It's a different experience from the game drives. A must do.

This is a very beautiful lake. Do take the boat ride which is an unforgettable experience. You will hundred of pelicans, cormorants, eagles and other birds. And you will see many hippos - some of them merely 10-15 feet away from your boat. You will also see waterbucks, wildebeest, giraffes etc along the coastline of the lake.

This is a very beautiful and famous lake in Kenya. It is the best place to watch hippos closely. Also if you like birds you will love to take a boat trip on the lake. There are dozens of birds there and you will be able to take amazing pictures.

We have reached there at an add time of afternoon. Then we bought the entrance ticker and we went inside the park a few hundred meters. We have seen many Giraffe and their calf and they were very close as close as 10 meter. Later we proceeded towards the lake and got down from our vehicle and have seen wild... More
