Abundance of wild life

I was amazed by the amount of Giraffes, Zebras and antelope you see when driving around the Lake. Many interesting places to stay and visit.

Our guide Leo took the two of us out in a motor boat for apporx 1.5 or 2 hours. We saw an abundance of birds in the water, on logs, or perching on the trees. But we didn't see any flamingoes. Going early ensured there were very few other boats on the lake. This enhanced the tranquility and peacefulness we... More

Not only is the landscape of this area beautiful, but there is plenty of wildlife to see, too. For about 2000/ you can take a one hour boat ride from some of the resorts/hotels/camp sites around the lake. You can access Cresent Island by boat or ride along the island to see many animals grazing. We saw many types of... More

We visited Lake Naivasha for a short visit and boat ride. The scenery is beautiful and there is a lot of wildlife including hippos and many birds including cormoran, pelican, fish eagles. The boat rides are quite expensive, 30 usd per person regardless of the duration, but worth it. Take sun blocking cream!

Ask your boat man to get the fish eagle to catch a fish and have your camera ready :) Prices seem to vary, we paid $35 per head, but only had two... More
