Lake Naivasha is around 100Km, almost 2 hours drive from Nairobi. Limuru Road is in good condition & offers great scenery. Rift Valley view point is good place to stop & take pictures of great rift valley & mount longonot. Crossing mount longonot offer great landscape views too. The lake itself is around 139km sq. & is biggest lake in... More

This was my first safari in Africa and it was thrilling from the start. The boat safari guides are very experienced in finding hippos - knowing their habits and irritants - and very knowledgable about birds and other water fowl. Within minutes of getting in the boats, we were within a few feet of hippos. Also, at Lake Naivasha is... More

A must see..when you visit Kenya. Best thing is that you can have a boat ride which you cant do in Lake Nakuru. Simple boat, slow speed, birds chipping, hippos swimming and antelopes grazing around. Recommend to stay for one night as morning is so beautiful with large variety of East African birds and Giraffes and Zebras roaming around your... More

My driver guide suggested us to visit Lake Naivasha that was not included in our schedule. Owing to the disappointing experience in Lake Nakuru and we accepted his suggestion. We paid USD40 per person for this addition program but it was very interesting and saw lots of birds, hippos, and other animals during the one and half an hour of... More
