arrived here in the afternoon and decided to do the boat trip after reading few reviews, good decision. Relaxing great hour on boat enjoying the hippos and birds. Ask your boat man to get the fish eagle to catch a fish and have your camera ready :) Prices seem to vary, we paid $35 per head, but only had two... More

Amazing tour. We've seen loads of cool birds and hippos. We were there for sunset (1h cruise starting at 5h30 pm). We managed to get it for 2500 ksh for two people, we were staying at Fisherman's camp (which charges 3500ksh, but when we said it was out of our budget they kindly arranged with their next door neighbours who... I went to Naivasha with my family in Oct 2015 and it was pure fun. I endorse everyone take a boat ride on the lake which costs around 6,000 KES (60 USD) per boat for an hour. You can pay the boatman an extra 500 KES and he will drive you for about an hour more if required. The only... More

We did a one hour boat tour of Lake Naivasha after visiting Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara Reserve. We saw a lot of wildlife on the water to include hippos, giraffes, storks and eagles catching fish out of the lake. It was definitely worth the visit.

Unfortunately it rained when I was here so it was not that great. Even so, you see hippos in the water, if you are lucky some on shore. If you are going to the Maasai Mara, I would suggest skipping Lake Naivasha as you will see way more hippos in the Mara!

A vast lake in Kenya offering great views of the cormorants and hippos. A one hour boat ride there is highly recommended. Even a stop over for the boating is fine on your way to Masai Mara or Lake Nakuru National Park.

My husband and I stopped here on our way from Nakuru to Nairobi, having been suggested to us by our safari guide. We paid KSH3000 each, which we felt was reasonable, for a personal boat trip with a guide called John. Lasted an hour and we saw a wealth of wildlife including hippos, giraffes, water bucks, herons and eagles, and... More
