We hire a driver to drive us around the National Park and was fortunate to see a giraffe! It walked so close to the car I could of touched it with my hand.

Although nairobi national Park has lost much of its attraction over the past two decades due to humen development encroachments on the park, it is still a great experience for those visiting Kenya but with insufficient time to visit the larger and more famous parks like the Masaai mara, the Aberdares or Tsavo. Great opportunity to see lions, buffaloes and... More

Kids loved it. Unfortunately, the big cats chose not to be visible or hunt the morning we went so hubby took them to the "zoo" where they had some.

It's just a little house and garden; my title says it all. BTW, I don't know why they lump the Giraffe Center with the Blixen House ... they are separate entities, with separate charges .

Nice gift shop offered with lots of great items for sale. The viewing platform to see the giraffes was fantastic!

An interesting insight into Karen Blixen and her life- can be combined with a trip to the Elephant orphanage and the giraffe centre.

With the Nairobi skyline as a backdrop for wildlife photos taken within its boundaries, Nairobi National Park is a truly unique venue. From watching lions hunting impalas to providing closeup photos of a male bushbuck, my most recent visit was as enjoyable as those I've previously made. Not only a great little park for Nairobi, but one of Kenya's finest... More

I was about half way through the book at the time of the visit. Seeing the places she described helped me continue with the not-so-easy read.

Nice place to visit, and then realize that the author of the book is telling it like it is. and to see what see means
