We knew we would have some spare time whilst on an extended holiday in Luxor, so packed some old towels, gaffer tape, worming tablets and flea stuff, and gaffer tape to take to ACE. We took a cab which cost no more than £5 gbp round trip with 1 hour wait, and visited. So pleased we did, as it was... More

We visited on our first day back in Luxor. The people who care for these animal are amazing! We'd brought some items on their wish list from their website: http://www.ace-egypt.org.uk/our-hospital/our-wishlist/ which was greatly received. Something as simple as duct tape is in great need. We were given a tour of the facility and we left in utter awe of how... More

We visited on Thursday at 9am. We took a caleche with a healthy looking horse and a driver who doesn't use a whip. From WPavilion we agreed a price of 140LE return (£13ish) including tip to feed the horse! Takes about 25 mins each way and I had numerous items from their wish list including duct tape (they need urgently)... More

A MUST DO when visiting Luxor. A big thank you for all volunteers who take care of sometimes very badly injured animals. Day in day out they are ready for them. RESPECT

The beginning of our trip through Turkey, Romania and Egypt left me tearful at times to see so much animal abuse and neglect. I read about this place on TripAdvisor and thought it would make me feel better to see what good is being done for work animals in Egypt. It was Ramadan, so there were few animals at the... More

I'm afraid it will always be a struggle for the people in this hospital because they can only do this beautifull work with the... More

My wife and I have had many holidays in Luxor, and although my wife had visited previously this was my first visit to ACE. Care of the animals in Egypt, especially at this time with few tourists, has always been close to our hearts. I was simply blown away by the care and cleanliness of ACE, and the friendliness shown... I'm so glad I visited, walked from the centre (near Luxor Temple) which took about 45 mins. Was so impressed by the facilities and cleanliness. Received a warm welcome and free tour. A much needed and hopefully appreciated place in Luxor.

The work carried out by Ace is so important for the animals and people of Luxor. A fit healthy animal is food on the table for the family. It is a charity run totally with donated funds. You can visit Ace and see the good work they are doing, Kim is a lady from England who I believe set it... More
