The botanical garden contains many trees of interest, some surprisingly large. Most are labelled. There are also some trees near the waters edge in which egrets and other birds hang out. Their conversation among themselves is quite funny sounding! The contrast between the lushness of the gardens and the huge desert sand dunes a few hundred metres to the west... More

We spent half of our time enjoying this parade gardens, But the other half feeding the adorable kittens that seem to have made tgis their home. We did not have enough food for the tiny creatures that kept popping up from nowhere, so one of the friendly traders there offered to buy more for us.... SO WHILE WE STROLLED, HE... More

Nice boat trip across from Aswan to the Botanic Garden and nice views of the Nile from there. Not much else really except a pleasant stroll through the shaded garden, oh and the usual pestering vendors.

This was a peaceful visit in a day packed with information. The gardens are on an island so take a boat trip, see the birds, and stop off here for a leisurely stroll. If you're into trees this is the place for you. Even in February it was colourful so what its like in the summer must be gorgeous. Walk... More

Aswan Botanical Garden is a botanical bliss in the island of Elnabatat earlier known as Kitchner Island in the Nile.It was developed by Lord Kitchner as he was a botanical cognoscente and he found the gift from the authorities(the island) as a perfect locus for treasuring exotic and varied varieties of plants.Today, the garden is maintained by locals employed by... See the plants, trees and palm trees around you, have your cup of tea and hookah. Drink water directly from the Nile. You will be amazed. Do not miss your selfie stick!

Amazing collection of plants. You will experience nature view of forest, garden and the Nile. The Botanic museum near the entrance is more suitable for those with cultural interest. Only need a meal restaurant, not only beverage and snacks, as is the case.
