This was a peaceful visit in a day packed with information. The gardens are on an island so take a boat trip, see the birds, and stop off here for a leisurely stroll. If you're into trees this is the place for you. Even in February it was colourful so what its like in the summer must be gorgeous. Walk... More

Aswan Botanical Garden is a botanical bliss in the island of Elnabatat earlier known as Kitchner Island in the Nile.It was developed by Lord Kitchner as he was a botanical cognoscente and he found the gift from the authorities(the island) as a perfect locus for treasuring exotic and varied varieties of plants.Today, the garden is maintained by locals employed by... as the place is just full of repeated many times trees without any information about each except its name which mean nothing for any one.

See the plants, trees and palm trees around you, have your cup of tea and hookah. Drink water directly from the Nile. You will be amazed. Do not miss your selfie stick!

Amazing collection of plants. You will experience nature view of forest, garden and the Nile. The Botanic museum near the entrance is more suitable for those with cultural interest. Only need a meal restaurant, not only beverage and snacks, as is the case.

I liked it but I think that much more could be done. I met an incredible boy who sells souvenirs after school to support his family. He was the best thing about it. But since it's not expensive and there are nice plants you can visit it and don't spend more than an hour.

It is nice to take a short stay there during your felucca tour. 0.5-1 hour is quite enough. Not a lot of flowers there in November when I visited but still a quite and beautiful place that is worth stopping by!

Great place to walk around, sit and read, watch the birds (and the cats). Nice and cool in the shade. I only spent a couple of hours here because it was part of a boat ride, but recommend taking the one way boat and stay longer.
