I think that the Temple of Isis and its sister temples here are among the most beautifully situated in Egypt. The island is reached by motor launch which takes about five minutes. The temples are remarkably preserved and in very good condition. The relief carving is especially fine and the later Ptolemaic style includes Egyptian, Greek, and Roman details. Pay... more

I am afraid that I was disappointed in the Sound and Light Show at Philae temple. I couldn't understand it properly and what I could understand was very corny. I think that a day visit would be better so at least you can see the temple better and get photo's. more

Well worth a Visit if you are in the Aswan.Great selection of Temples.Give your self a Min of a hour to visit. Dont book up with a tour just get a Cab.Normally 80-100 EPounds return trip. Pictures on my website. [--] more

I went to the Island of Philia and thought it was a most wonderful place, i went to the sound and light show thier, and it was magical, you could almost see the gods talking, it moved me to tears, it is an experiance i would love to have again, i just wish they would have let me stay there... more
