This village is one of the most entertaining cultural historical sight in Cairo. I simply loved it. Right from the beginning I was amazed. We got into an Egyptian boat on the Nile and set off for the journey. It was really unforgettable. We crossed papyrus while seeing a lot of special wildfowl. Meanwhile at some stages there were scenes... More

My girlfriend and I went there, for me it wasn't the first time, so I already know that was waiting for us. The place is very nice and our guide was very kind and informative, he explained every thing in details and in a very interesting way. The place is getting old and it has to be renewed. But overall... More

Quiet and empty on weekdays, kids love the boat tour for half an hour to 45 mins. Takes you back in time.

A well thought out tour but very tacky. The aim is to take you back in time and exclude modern Cairo (impossible when the actors wear jeans under their costumes and with a digger in the papyrus but so what!) The tour starts with a boat ride through Egypt's history. Both times I have been there has been a delay... More

We have been here several times. Dr. Ragab is the one who restarted the papyrus painting industry in Egypt and his replica of King Tut's tomb is phenomenal. You feel like you are peeking at the first time it was opened. He is brilliant at bringing ancient Egypt to life.

It's a lot fun. Good for individual, couples and family. Cons: untrained staff, tour guide he said some wrong historical information, his priority is to take us to a lot shops were we just have to spend money to buy those overpriced novelties. Restaurants, fixtures, amenities, facilities and everything we saw was old and not well maintained. Restaurant is dirty... More

If you want to go back 7000 years and see how people used to live I would advise visiting the place. The village is an island amid the Nile river includes 9 museums explaining all details of the Pharaonic life. Boats are available to roam inside the village, the journey takes either an hour or 4 hours depending on the... More

This one gives you a really good simulation of the Pharaohs' era. Don't eat there coz food is terrible, have your camera, sometimes you might get bored so I suggest that you take ipod or whatever you can have good playlist on and grab some drinks before entering .. Go with friends... Early in the morning is cool 9:00 am... More

I didn't have a clue what to expect when I entered the Pharaonic Village, I figured it would be a load of little museums; how wrong was I?! You start by getting on a boat which rides down the Nile, there's a recording to listen to (different boats have different languages), and there are actors acting out scenes from Ancient... More

Ihave been visiting the place already 3 times and i enjoyed it.If you have just a short time to spend in Cairo, it can be a good place to visit. Everything is fake, but still, the place is giving you something special located in a huge, nice garden The program started with a boat trip on the Nile, with explanation... More
