We recently stayed four nights at this one of a kind grand old hotel. The place rambles over 40 acres and is divided into new and old (dating from 1890s) sections. We started out in a great room with view in the new section but because of kids making a racket from 1 - 4 am in the wide hallways... More

The main reason for staying here is the history and the location, about an hour's drive from the airport (on the other side of Cairo) and literally across the road from the Giza pyramids. It is a very good heritage property and should be selected on that basis, because there are better hotels in Cairo. Service is excellent. Rooms are... More

This hotel is the closest hotel to the Giza pyramids. The main dining room and bar have a lovely view of the largest pyramid. The grounds are well maintained, with a tropical feel, the food is overpriced (about $20 for appetizers) but well prepared, and the setting is nearly perfect. Outside of the Mena house, it is easy to pick... More

I stayed here with my wife and we had a room that over looked the pyramids. There is something really amazing about waking up and seeing the great pyramids as you open the curtains. This is probably one of the best hotels in Cairo, not just for the character, as it's has so much history, but also for the bars... More

One of the best views i´ve ever had on a golf course. Very well prepared course. And also the club house is nice and the drinks and the food are quite good. A great expierence to play with view on the pyramids.

Great location for seeing the pyramids. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about but does have a fantastic history. We really enjoyed the Indian restaurant in the hotel one evening.

Best resort to stay at while in Giza. Service excellent, resort amazing, pool fantastically clean, rooms clean, well appointed, hot shower never ending. Place was very well maintained, grounds are beautiful. Not one bad thing to say, and I mean not one

VERY close to the pyramids. Great value. Wonderful staff. The grounds were well maintained, beautiful pool areas. The view of the pyramids was particularly impressive. Buffet breakfast was adequate with a very nice staff.

Returned last night from Egypt and a stay at Mena House. Because of the proximity to Pyramids is probably why it was chosen. Public rooms are gorgeous. Guest rooms need major refurbishing. Carpet stained, chair fabric stained and dirty, drapes stained. 5 star hotel???? Don't think so. They are building a new wing which doesn't make sense since tourism is... More
