It was great to see so many visitors to the park - mostly locals. It was winter and also was starting to be cloudy, so it was quite windy and a bit cold, but it was still quite buzzing which was great to see. The kids play area was nice and there were plenty of restrooms nearby. Beautiful greenery and... More

Very centrally located, Al Azhar Park is easy to get to, beautiful, and such an oasis in the middle of dirty, chaotic Cairo. It has a huge playground and an amazing lookout that you can see the whole city from. There are often concerts in the bandshell and it has a couple of great restaurants. I have been there numerous... You can buy food there and enjoy a picnic among the locals. Maybe you'll have some teen aged boys next to you performing Arabic rap to entertain you. Or maybe you'll have a chance for your kids to run around with other little ones to experience middle class life in Cairo.

I live in Giza/Cairo, and I have been in the place many times. In my opinion, it is one of the most attractive places for a nice Egyptian meal with a nice view in the Cairo. Sometimes, it gets really crowded and bit noisy in the restaurants. If you visit the place, I would recommend the Citadel restaurant for a... More

This park is filled with locals and many many couples. The park seems very inauthentic and forced in a way. Nothing to see here but good if you looking for the smell of fresh air and nature as these 2 things are scarce in cairo

This park is built by the Agha Khan Foundation. I can not praise it enough. It is the lung of Old Cairo. Has exellent views, three resturants, very pleasent.

This part in the middle of Cairo is the perfect place to get away from the busy noisy city and just relax or walk contemplating the city below. We visited the park at the hour of prayer and you could hear the echo of the call to prayer in the whole city. Amazing!

A joyfully relaxed experience whether you go alone or with others. Greenery with fresh air. The restaurant is also good. Overlooks some of egypts most remarkable mosques in addition to of course the citadel. Great weather that becomes chilly at night. Avoid on a weekend zif you don't like it crowded or with too many children running around.

Most wonderful green area with a lot of wonderful places & seats. They have a lot of different kind of flowers, trees & fountain. I like it so much.
