Good location for evening time pass and nice weather. Considering the Masque traffic, need to start early to enjoy the full cycle.

It is a wonderful place at the heart if Cairo. But try to avoid visiting during weekends and national holidays. Also be aware of the quality of food served at the restaurants at the park.

A must visit for anyone looking for space and a bit of quiet in Cairo. Twenty LE to enter, if you come early you have the place to yourself before the families move in with picnic baskets and it kicks off. Parking is a bit of a walk from the actual park. Azhar Park has an Arabian style design that takes you back to Andalusian Spanish times. The developer is Agha Khan Foundation who handed management to the government a few years back. Yet the park remains surprisingly well kept. It is easy to get to. Right in the center of Cairo, close to the iconic Salah El Din citadel. Best bet... More

You'd have to pay a minimal sum to get in. It probably the only green lung in Cairo. The grounds are fairly clean and its not too busy on a work day. The view of Cairo from the top is pretty amazing

If you've had enough of Cairo's exhaust fumes an constant noise, this park makes a welcome change with its greenery and water. There are also entertainments in the park (some of them superb!) of Egyptian folk dance and music. The park is intended to give Cairo's population a break and it's built on the site of the old garbage city,... More
