The Park is amazing considering the hectic, crowded and dirty surrounding. The atmosphere was cheerful with people picknicked and musical show near the entrance. The price of the food sold here was reasonable. But the prayer place is not friendly - no water for 'wuduk'. You have to go to w.c which is quite a distance from the place.

Al-Azhar Park is a large park in the middle of Cairo that offers a lovely and varied landscape to escape the hustle and traffic of the city. It offers many green areas for picnics, as well as two restaurants and at least one café. For kids, there is a small train for a ride around the park. You also get... More

After Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, we decided to go to the east and see to have some rest in the vast park, a real "green lungs " of such vivid city of Cairo. That is the Al-Azhar Park, that alongs from the west side, the broad avenue, Salah Salam Street. That is one of the world sixty great public spaces,... More

This is really a must see, its a secret I feel like the locals are keeping. If you pay for a driver they may act like they don't know where it is, but be clear with them that you want the park with the Gardens. It is beautiful and very inexpensive to get into. The views are amazing. You can... More

One of the most beautiful spots in Cairo. You get an amazing panoramic view over the city and the flowers and plants in this huge park are simply beautiful. Really a nice and calm place to visit in the chaotic crowded city of Cairo. A haven of tranquility.

This is near the Salahidin Citadel and is a beautiful landscaped park with fountains, a faux lake and a wonderful restaurant with a view of the Citadel. Because the price to get in is high it has been kept in good shape. I went there when it opened and it is even more lovely now. The best place in Cairo... More
