The park project, a great urbanism initiative, included The development of the park Archeology involving a 12th-century Ayyubid wall Historic building rehabilitation (the 14th Century Umm Sultan Shaban Mosque, the 13th century Khayrbek complex, and the Darb Shoughlan School) Several quality of life improvement initiatives requiring skills training, area rehabilitation, microfinance, and support in the areas of health and education,... This parc is amazing - clean, full of greenery, water ponds, quiet spots, great oulook spots over all of Cairo, and with many activities for the kids. There's also a premium place to buy handifrafts without any pressure at reasonable princes in there. Highly highly recommended!

Near to the Park (walking distance) The Grand Basar , Khan el Khalili can be visited. Both places together minimum half day ! 2 restaurants are in the park, one at the... More

An oasis of calm in busy Cairo, lovely walks and a fabulous view of the citadel. Nice to see so many residents taking advantage of the 'countryside'

this place is very good for large groups and families. It has a big problem that it's not clean all the time. But it's cheap and wide.

One of the best places when you want to escape from daily Cairo scene. It's spacious and you can command a nice view from the panorama point. Drinks and snacks are available at the cafe inside.

This park was a very pleasant break from the dirtiness and busyness of Cairo. The park is beautiful and well kept. Lots of room for recreational activities and picnics. Vendors are not allowed in the park, so it is very peaceful.

A lovely, well maintained park. Definitely a nice place to take the kids. A piece of advice though, take decent footwear as kids play areas have a sand floor with all sorts in the sand. I would go again, it was scenic, relaxing and fun with young children.
