A lovely, well maintained park. Definitely a nice place to take the kids. A piece of advice though, take decent footwear as kids play areas have a sand floor with all sorts in the sand. I would go again, it was scenic, relaxing and fun with young children.

This park is situated on a hill overlooking Cairo and is a gathering point for many of Cairo's people. You have good views over the city and there is plenty of space to stroll around. There is a restaurant situated in the middle plus a gift shop and if you visit at dusk you will witness a glorious sunset. It... More

At the moment we bestrides the hill of the park we were walking in history. All ancient Islamic Cairo at your Camera shooting angle, the park is very clean, delicate and well organised. Lots of branded restaurants, sidewalks, gardens and kids area. Prices are moderate too. In a sunny day it will be your perfect choice. Enjoy.

I had a really different Team Retreat this time with Fulbright and their amazing team. We had two sessions one indoors and one outdoors where we played games, discussed a lot of personal and work related topics in an extremely friendly setting. We had an exquisite breakfast at Studio Masr Restaurant overlooking the wide area of the park with water... More

It is so close to Khan El Khalily. You should go over there to take lunch in studio Misr resturant where you will be overlooking old Cairo as this place is constructed on a high level area that you can see the whole city and you can even see Mohamed Ali castle. So lovely specially at night. A huge green... More

Alazhar park a vibrant and beautiful place in the middle of old Cairo is a must see. The Park itself lies in a higher ground overlooking the historic Islamic Cairo. The atmosphere and the view is magnificent specially in the afternoon. The lush greenery and the serenity of the park are vivid contrast to the surrounding heavily populated ancient districts. There... More

10Eyg Entrace fee. Had lunch at the restaurant to the right as you enter the park. Lots f locals having fun! The food and service was excellent! We got there early so got a centre table looking directly to the citadel. Best gift shop in Cairo, because you are left to browse peacefully!
