It's a lovely place for a wander in the mornings. The museum is well worth a visit, lovely artifacts and manuscripts. You are not allowed to take photos in the museum, so be prepared to leave your camera at the ticket office.

Our tour guide Mina was fantastic. We walked through here and spoke with all the locals who wanted photos with us. Lots of shops down here and the Bazarr is great. A must see when in Cairo. But do make sure you see all the sights with an accredited your guide. Cairo is amazing and the locals are fantastic.

Coptic Cairo is definitely one of the attractions that must be visited. It emphasises Cairo's many facets and is a delight to wander through. Very clean, unlike some parts of Islamic Cairo, the cobbled roads are quaint and charming. The Ben Ezra Synagogue , the Hanging Church are beautiful. A short taxi ride from downtown gets you to Coptic Cairo... More

What a previlige to be here in Egypt, in the midst ofhistory where time stood still. I felt blessed to be here in the Old Coptic Cairo where even the winds whispered the richness of this beautiful place. The old city of Cairo is an ancient paradise of Christianity where Churches chimed their bells of the rich Christian heritage. This... More

Take a walk early morning ... before the crowds start gathering. The Ben Ezra Synagogue is a must see. They do not allow photography inside, but the relics and the paintings inside are surely worth a look. The Hanging church and the Nunnery of St George are the other places where you might wish to stay for a longer period.... More

Had this site been in any other part of the world, it would surely have been deemed as one of the highlights. But in Egypt, where around every corner you are presented with majestic sites and monuments, where history is literally ingrained in every grain of sand, it's a little bit difficult to really appreciate the true value the Coptic...
