I've been to the Coptic Museum twice now. It is a wonderful museum, set in an old palace. The architecture is amazing - carved timbers and beautiful tile work. The artifacts in the museum are amazing too. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take your camera inside, which is very disappointing. The area surrounding the Coptic Museum is also well... more

After walking along the Nile for more than eternity, we found Coptic Cairo only to find the Coptic Museum is closed for renovation. Most of the churches are still open and is still worth a look. We spent about 3 hours there and caught the Metro back to Sadat Station. Trains run no more than 10 minutes apart and is... more
