Dongdaemun was a well visited spot in my stay in Seoul. Often we would go late at night (after midnight) and shop because everything goes to half price. Shoes, accessories, purses, jewelry, etc. are all great to shop for. ATMs are all around, and there are tents for easy rain-shopping. The street-food is awesome, too, if you dare. If you are in Seoul, go to Dongdaemun Gate. Tonde Mon. You can buy various clothings at very good price here. It is open till late hours at night. Leather wear is also what is recommendable to buy here. more

Greetings, Dong Dae Moon is a great place to find a bargain. It is somewhat like a wholesale market but the vendors will sell to anyone. English is not widely spoken.
