This is an amazing tour. Joe, the guide, is full of information and is more than willing to share about the history and his research and how they find things. The entire tour was both spooky and hysterical. The time flies and i could listen to him tell stories for hours. It's definitely worth it to take the extended tour... More

If you enjoy good food and want to learn about eating habits and table manners in korea, it's the ideal solution. You spend the evening walking from one restaurant to the next, tasting different dishes (barbecue, vegetable pancakes, cold buckwheat noodles) and chitchatting. I had a great time. Thanks again Joe.

I was super excited about going on this tour with one of my friends and really enjoyed the tour itself! Our guide Joe, was very knowledgable and kept me intrigued with all the different stories relating to the sites we saw. It is definitely a trip worth taking in my opinion! Although I'm not a believer of ghosts, it was... More

As a previous history major, I found this tour very interesting. I liked the stories that were told, and how they were able to explain how they did their research when asked. As a lover of all things haunted, I really enjoyed this tour for the spooky vibe. I took the extended tour, and it was excellent. I especially think... More

This was an interesting historical tour through parts of Seoul. I went on the extended 2.5 hour walk tour. We learned about some of the places that are thought to be haunted and places that have a gruesome history. This is a historical tour, not a haunted house type tour. So, don't be disappointed if you are not scared...go to... More

Attended the tour and found it to be thoroughly enjoyable and exactly what I had hoped for. Joe didn't make it feel like a history lesson and a good story teller making it all very interesting and entertaining. Would I recommend this others? Definitely especially the extended version which provides more stories and places to visit as well as finishing... More

First of all, Joe from ZenKimchi was very accommodating by doing the food tour for me and my friends on the requested date. We went to restaurants where the locals eat with plenty of good food and drink. Joe was very informative and knowledgeable with Korean food and taught us how to eat in a right way. And Sue, Joe's... My family and I attended the 'Groovy Hongdae Tour' and was disappointed somewhat. Food tours to me are suppose to be all about the food and the local insights that come with it. You want experiences you would not normally come across if on your own. I'm afraid we didn't get this. It felt disorganised and had no structure. When... More

The Dark Side Seoul tour is a lot of fun with great historic info and a spooky stroll through back alleys and bright shopping districts both. Friendly and knowledgeable, Joe is a great guide to Korea's haunted past.

If you want to experience off the beaten path excellent Korean food and drink, then this is the tour for you. Joe's stories were informational and showed correct way to eat and drink the Korean way.
