Me and my friend decided to brave the bath-experience despite the negative reviews about unfriendly service and inappropriate conduct. First we got confused by the renovation work that's going on and ended up at an office next door where a friendly man promptly picked up the phone and arranged for one of the staff from the baths to come and... well! if you can get over the pricyness of the scrub and the gruff reception you receive from the madames of the baths (imagine the hefty Muscovite elderly women who would have fought to the death for a bread roll!?) and the surliness of the gorilla who gives you the body scrub and massage ...then you will feel refreshed and... This was the most colostomy experience I have ever been though. Yer fair enough laying on a table naked and getting a guy scrub you down, I was prepared for that. But when he spilts his fingers in when your partner leaves the room for a spilt second is not on, in any country. I could not believe this. Like... More

It is near Tbilisi center but there is not much to see if you do not have a private guide with you to explain it all to you. Apparently one can go and still use the baths however we could not get information where and how...it is a bit dirty since everything but very center of Tbilisi is pretty dusty... More

Just a great original experience. The whole area is a big construction site. The nice blue-titled bath is completely close, but I went to the public one. Entrance 3 lari + 1 Lari for a towel. Great experience More

Next time we will try the Royal Bath; theres the posh baths and the plain everyday baths - bit intimidating and uninviting. The 'bokharra' type entrance to old baths stunning though in the middle of major building works. More

take a private room with sauna, showers and swimming pool (excellent for a group up to 8-10 people) for ~150 lari and enjoy huge space, interiors, good sauna and sulphurus pools. Would not recommend neither scrub nor massage. More
