I love the people.I love the spirit of the indomitable Georgians. They are smart and kind and have stories to share. They love visitors! Go to Georgia and you too will see how special and of the beaten track Tbilisi and so many parts of the country are..and we only saw such a small offering. I can't wait to go... More

We grew to love the part of town on both sides of the River. At every turn there is a historical building or church. On the east side of the river you have Holy Trinity Cathedral high on Elia Hill in Avlabari. The President's Palace is also there and the old wall covered with a fern grotto is beautiful. Formed... Spent four days in Tbilisi and most of the time I found myself gravitating towards the Old Town. Parts of it are new age chichi - trendy bars, cafes etc - while other parts are distinctly old world Georgian. Like myself, most tourists will find themselves spending time there, eating out and socialising - and there are lost of good... More

In time, the Old Town of Tbilisi will become another Covent Garden, Temple Bar or East Village. Right now, its the part of Tbilisi that you will want to spend most of your time in if you're there for a couple of days. Tbilisi itself is a mixed bag of a city - some very elegant streets and squares, a... More

The old town itself is not beautiful, but it is pleasant to walk, climbing towards the cathedral, perhaps tasting the products of the bakers, who give forth fragrance and taste unfogettable. you just have to try and find out, because, unless you are Georgians will not be possibile to understand what they contain, but they are delicious

Nice place with beautiful old buildings and good cafes. Good place to take a rest with your family or with your friends.

This is a decent place but food and drinks are sky-rocketing high and do not spend time there for long. Save money of you want to eat even better food elsewhere.

First time in my life to fall in love with a capital of a country. Normally i will just be in the capital to have aquick look and run away. With Tbilisi it was really different. Loved to walk around again and again. It's very nice place. I didnt feel there is traffic jam, rush, and polluted. It was really... More

I have mixed feelings about the old town. Yes, it's worth a visit, but I don't think it lived up to all the superlative reviews I read before going. It's got an interesting mix of architecture, shops, restaurants etc, but other than that I did not really feel its wow factor. It is, however, one of the places to find... More
