The city of Tbilisi is very beautiful and the old town is a must. It is fascinating to watch the distinct houses on the rim of the river. You wander if this is Europe or Asia or a mix.

Like any other old town - it has its own face. Lots of interesting places, small cafes, restaurants, you can find lost of things to see. 3 days in old town and you still have many things to discover. Just let yourself flow in this old town and you will see enormous contrasts between golden statues, luxury cafes and little... More

This is the best place within the city. Cleaner, views from top of old town is beautiful. You could walk your way up and it enjoyable with plenty of views or take a cable car which is very cheap.

pleasant place to wander, rest, eat the pastries/pies from the small bakeries and get a fancy ice cream in luca polari. The walk down from the top of the cable car is worth it on a clear day.

The "Old Town" has gone upscale since my last visit in 2005, and construction is ever present. Many poor places to eat, drink and people watch while drinking coffee at an out door cafe. The old town charm remains and one only has to walk down a side street and enter into a "old era" more Soviet-like than old town.... More

I explored the old town built from as long ago as the 4th century over a two day period and was continuously delighted by the cobbled side streets with interesting shops. There are many restaurants ranging from fairly pricey to very cheap and almost all have tables to sit at outside. The city is particularly beautiful at night, it comes... More
