As is normal, this Commonwealth War cemetery is beautifully kept and just to wander down the lines of memorials and to give thanks to these brave men is something very worthwhile. 27,000 names and a huge number of Indians and Africans who left their homes and countries to fight for freedom. On the road from Yangon to Prome is this large Allied Cemetery. Row after row of grave, and long lists of the missing dead, remind you of all the young men who died. Individual grave markers, personalized with messages from the grieving relatives, are especially poignant. More
