As a Tourist Attraction, forget it! It's a non-photogenic house mainly concealed behind high gates and fences. Over the past 9 months the wall around this house has been refurbished. It went from an ordinary wall to a nice wall. More

Now it's so great to see our leader's house to be considered as historic... More

We were really lucky to visit the day after her election, and saw supporters with their stereos and flags being waved - goosebumps guaranteed. Not much to see but essential to recognise as part of Burma's path towards democracy More

Till recently, tourists were not allowed to stop near this home. Now you can, so go and check it out - we are talking about the home of Burma's Nelson Mandela here. More

As the title says. You cannot go in, only drive by. The one conceivable reason for wanting to do so is the thrill of experiencing the new freedom in the country. (We actually did not want to even drive by, but our guide insisted so as to make the effects of the recent political changes more vividly perceptible...) More
