So glad we went here, was beautiful. We wore jandals/thongs and they were fine for the walk but did take them off when you had to climb/pull yrself up the rocks. Caught a bus thru from where we were staying and called in at the secret garden on the way back. Got to see/hold a snake and iguana.. the stories... more

I visited the waterfalls on a tour with evergreen. It cost 3,000VT but included transport to/from the hotel, a drive around mele village and a tour guide. The guide tells you about the history, and anything you may want to know. He also directs you the way to go and to the lookout post. He allows you to go for... more

Beautiful waterfall to visit. A bit of a walk to get there, so wear good shoes that you can also walk through the water a couple of times, then again up the top if you want to walk right up to the top. Well worth the visit, allow a bit of time to visit the secret garden on the way.... more

Gorgeous place to go. Lovely cool water. Its more than a water fall. There are pools you can swim in all the way along the walk up to the falls. Some of the steps are cut into the rock and water runs down them. You can slide down the natural waterslide near the top of the walk which is fun... more

We didn't know what to expect when we went up these waterfalls, but it was quite a remarkable experience. Not only can you climb up these waterfalls, you can swim in the pools!! Getting out of the water felt like stepping up from a massage - there is something special about that water! An experience I won't forget in a... more

Mele Cascades is about a 15min drive from Port VIla Town and is easy to access by local bus - so save your money for other tours and do it the locals way! A bus to and from Port VIla town to the cascades is 200 Vatu each way per person (around $2.20 AUD). On arrival to the Cascades you... more

The waterfalls are an amazing way to spend a 1/2 day I do have a few tips though: 1 - Don't take a tour - they are overpriced and you can get there by bus for only AU$2 but make sure you can get back!!!! Ask the driver to wait for you or a taxi will cost you around AU$20... more

A quick bus ride south of Port Villa are the Cascade Waterfalls. At the entrance to the falls a small custom fee is required to enter. Once in you will see gin clear ponds at the base of the hill and a path leading upwards. Follow the path up the hill past lots of small pools and the sound of... more

Mele Cascades – these are beautiful and well worth the visit. It’s 1000vt to get in and you have to walk for about 15 minutes, some of which is up hill, and when you get to the falls, you can choose to walk up the waterfall using the ropes – if you have the confidence, do it, it isn’t challenging... more
