After our first visit to Hideaway Island we went back twice more. The people were charming and my daughters enjoyed the snorkelling, the underwater post office and the delicious breakfasts. A tip...if you are a tenderfoot like me, invest in a pair of reef shoes.

We loved our visit here. We snorkeled all day! Kept on going back in. The coral and abundance of fish makes it worth it. Very easy, straight off the beach. We didn't even bother with fins, just wore our reef shoes. Just a suggestion for man agent, it would be good to have some change facilities. The toilets are really... More

The visit to Hideaway Island made a charming day out. The equipment provided for the snorkelling was good and for the non snorkellers the glass bottomed boat was a pleasant interlude.

We finished our previous tour early so decided to drop in to snorkel after meeting the owner on the Sunset Cruise from Port Vila. Breathtakingly pretty and very good staff. The Snorkeling is quite different to Iririki Island - more variety and sizes of fish but also more barren spots due to coral bleaching (Not sure if this is a... More

Beach not nice and sandy and maybe we were unlucky but our snorkelling didn't reveal much either. Quickly got bored, ate some average food, then left!

Bit disappointed with all the coral, but we all had a great day. My husband posted a postcard in the underwater post office & loved the snorkeling safari. My son loved feeding the fish on the glass bottom boat. Great day...

This is our first visit to this island. Very good. Reminded us of Duck Island in Noumea (without the exorbitant costs). The island is well set up with sun beds freely available. You can hire snorkel equipment. You definitely need reef shoes as it is all coral. There is easy access to the water from some wooden steps but don't... More

I had snorkelled at Iririki and also at The Survivor Beach....they didn't come close to the amount of coral and fish at Hideaway Island...we were staying at Iririki and we caught a bus from the street near the jetty which was 200 vatu pp each way, this took around 20 mins or so, then a little boat comes over and...
