Just a short water taxi ride which wasn't very expensive. No beach as such because it is coral but there were beach loungers. I didn't snorkel but others did and said it was handy to be able to so close to the beach if you wanted to rest, and then back into it. We were on cruise so didn't have... More

Circus was alright buh if taking your kids too a place where people drink and smoke isn't your thing, I wouldn't recommend it.

The kids loved this island, finding the post office underwater and the fish were plentiful. The package booked through our resort covered transfers, island fee, snorkeling gear hire and lunch. A great family day out

Hideaway island. Reasons: Clear shallow water with nice coral reef, calm sea condition. And I think the most important reason is the fishes there are what they call ”tame fish”, which are fed and therefore attracted by staff & tourists every day, and it’s a marine sanctuary so no catching allowed. They are not afraid of people, instead they swim... More

Loved the snorkelling, we found it best as the tide lowered. Pretty island we even walk from mainland across and by ferry. Most enjoyable day trip!

Hideaway Island is one of the most easily accessible spots to snorkel in Vila, you can BYO gear or hire it from the resort, but the whole "island" is really just a little coral atoll surrounded by colorful sea creatures, gorgeous coral and anemones. There is the underwater post office, which is cool for its uniqueness (but definitely not functional,... More

We all were engrossed watching fish, even the four year old. Equipment easy to hire and rafts out on the reef for when you need a rest. Great lunch in the cafe too.

Loveed this - only five mins from wher we were staying at Mele Bay (benjor Resort). So easy to get to by bus and really good diving. I was experienced but wife was not and the dive instructors totally looked after her and she now has a new passion!! Good coral and lots of fish.

The beach is ALL coral - make sure you have reef shoes. Unless you are an Olympic swimmer, don't expect to make it to the underwater post office. While it is lovely to be able to say you have been there, and to see the fish while snorkelling - it is no different from many other snorkelling trips.
