We took the little ferry over to Hideaway for snorkelling and lunch on a gorgeous summer day in January. The water was crystal clear and the beach was not crowded at all (it may be different when a cruise ship is in town). The boys and I has fish and chips for lunch and it was tasty and generously portioned.... More

My second visit here and it's a lovely and relaxed place to snorkel off from the beach. Invest in a pair of reef shoes as the beach is coral and they make it easy to walk around. If you choose to eat - Lunch is fresh and huge. Highly recommend for all ages and levels.

I was only able to stay at Hideaway Island for a couple of hours but I wish I could've stayed a lot longer. It was really beautiful. The highlight was definitely the snorkelling. I've never seen such massive fish! And there were so so many! All different types. It was really amazing. And I was able to post a postcard... More

We visited in January on a Port Vila stoppover on our Pacific Eden cruise. The others in our group were more energetic and went to the waterfall while we chose Hideaway Resort and the snorkelling instead. The short trip over on the boat is part of the entrance price - very reasonable. Don't forget your reef shoes as the coral... More

Lovely little island and the snorkeling is great. I think the reef was damaged in the cyclone, but it is great to see the are rebuilding the reef . The underwater post box was a little to far down but it may have been high tide. I got it on the second go. If you scuba dive this would be... More

I know I shouldn't complain about being charged to get in but as this is one of the nicer beaches in Port Vila it is still worth pointing out. That being said I would suggest catching the free ferry service that leaves the main island every 5 minutes to enjoy a day here. The snorkelling is great fun but if... More
