Our driver recommend that we go across for lunch. We took the free Ferry but to get on the Island it is $10pp. It was just beautiful and tranquil, they serve great food and the staff are really friendly and willing to help. Was nice to spend a little time relaxing on the beach.

Did a tour from our resort to Hideaway. It included the transfers, gear, glass bottom boat trip, snorkle safari and lunch. Other people from our resort did it themselves but I think we got better value! Alice and all the staff were helpful and the lunch was delicious. The fish and coral were great and plenty of both just of... More

We spent two weeks in Vanuatu. Very happily we made Hideaway our base. This turned out to be an excellent decision. As at most resorts, the staff was magnificent. I feel bad singling out anybody, but feel that Louisa, Veronique and Charity deserve a special thanks from me for outstanding service. Mama Rosa is also in a class of her... More

Not sure what I expected. But paying quite a bit for entry you don't get that much other then a chair on the beach if you are lucky. It will be good if they say you can claim the entry fee back on maybe food or snorkel hire to make it worth it. The water is stunning and very clear... More

I came to Vanuatu with my girlfriend, who grew up in an arid, land-locked country and consequently never learned to swim. We assumed that snorkelling was therefore not an option, but went to Hideaway for a glass-bottomed boat trip so that she could at least see a little of the marine life. However, Jeff the watersports leader assured us being... More

take water shoes and please dont stand on the coral. There is fish and coral straight off the beach so even the novices can snorkel in shallow water and see good fish. sadly the coral that is close is being wrecked by people that feel they need to walk all over it. we need to preserve places like this not... This place was awesome for snorkelling it is a large area with multiple types of fish! Nemo, Dorie, you name it! Even the odd moray ell. Best live coral I had seen whilst over in Vanuatu. This place does become very crowded and the waves do break on the reef which is the only let down. You can only post... More

We went on the second tour option which included lunch and a glass bottomed boat trip, which was well worth the extra 1,000 vatu. Great snorkelling at the resort beach and the short distance offshore. Definitely recommend this as an excursion to do in Vanuatu

If you have always wanted to swim in an aquarium this is the place to do it. A short bus ride from town and a boat across to Hideaway Island and then into the water and you will be amazed at the beautiful fish and coral you will see.We have been here a few times and it never ceases to... More
