Great little island not far from Noumea. A bit touristy - bit boatloads of tourists go over everyday, do a glass bottomed boat tour and then a kind of tacky touristy lunch and singing performance. But if you're going diving there is a great dive company that operates from this island. More

Amedee Island is 45 minutes offshore from Noumea (Moselle boat harbor) and is serviced by the Mary D organization which runs two well appointed, high speed cruisers and the island.
