We visited on a Sunday afternoon when the beach is full of happy Nouméa residents relaxing at the beach. There is a nice atmosphere. You can sit on the sand or find a shady spot on the grass under the trees. The water is calm, warm and quite deep close to the shore. There are many noisy bars across the... More

We went here whilst visiting Noumea on a shore excursion from our cruise ship. The beach here is stunning and is not far from anse vata beach. There's also a harbour with several yachts and smaller boats. A very expensive area but also very beautiful. Worth a visit.

A beautiful sun kissed and peaceful beach dotted with yachts. A little on the expensive side but relaxation at its best !

With crystal-clear water, without waves, and with a very beautiful coral reef just a few meters from the shore. Many tropical fishes and multi-coloured corals. Ideal place for snorkelling.

This is the place to go if you want a drink. Anse Vata does not have many bars but here they are. They do happy hours at the end of the day, good for a drink before dinner. There a few restaurant around too.

Brilliant beach, with the best sea experience, nice on your feet, great for swimming and fab bars and restaurants opposite. Loved this beach so much.

beach is sheltered, sea temperature is pleasant and allows up to an hour of snorkelling before you feel the chill. Eateries and restaurants are brilliant...coffee available all day, snacks throughout the day but the place comes into its own on a night...book a table and relax with fine foods and wines, or tapas and beer, or the american style diners...you... Plenty of great cafes along this lovely curved beach bay. As well is a nice strip of beach to enjoy the sun -water is a gentle ripple so safe for families.

La Baie des Citrons is nicely placed, away from the heavy winds we experienced in late November, which made the swim, snorkel and chilling out the beach pleasant. Also if you feel safer with life guards around, you'll be well looked after. I rate the snorkeling over any of the other beaches in the area, mainly because you're not paying... More
