Nice Sunsets

Nice sheltered cove where locals come to spend their weekend days. Good for kids, and they have showers to wash off the salt and sand.

Very pleasant bay to while away the hours, enjoy the sun and watch the local French people at play. It seems that you can swim here all year round

Good for families, across the road are bars and restaurants- if it is after 4pm do yourself a favour and go to 3 Brasseurs for great craft beer (only one in NC) and during happy hour only CFP500 for a pint!

This little cove is beautiful. It has nice soft sand compared to Anse Vata beach. Trees provide a perfect amount of shade and the water was very calm with no obvious currents or rips. There is a really nice vibe here and we didnt encounter any hawkers. Public toilets are available and its only a 20 minute walk to to... More

calmer and sheltered than anse vata, plage dela baie des citrons or lemon bay is nearer to my hotel with lots of restaurants and bakeries.

Found at the the far end of Anse Vata - within walking distance is this very sheltered bay. Look out across the water to Duck Island, watch the water taxis do their business, joggers and walkers on the promenade or go and swim yourself. This area is dotted with pubs and eating places including a great icecream / frozen yogurt... More

Nice beach for walking / swimming; easy access to beach and promanade; lots of tourist related shops, food services, etc; that are also enjoyed by locals.

This beach is only a few hundred meters from Anse Vata but the atmosphere is totally different. Admittedly this is a far more expensive area with posh restaurants and ice creameries around, but worth a visit even if you don't buy anything. The walk is lovely morning or evening and there is plenty of parking. The water and views are... More
