The beach is not too far from the other main beach strip and also not too far from the city centre. It's a great spot for swimming.

Again, it was a good beach, not many people in July, great for swimming etc. Close by to shops but we didn't use them.

Very European. The place where the locals swim. Pretty, protected which is good for serious swimming. Has not been over developed. Very quiet and pleasant during the week. Best hang out in Nouméa

The advantage of this beach is that it is devoid of winds as just "around the corner" because of the piece of land separating the beaches. This one is a bit sandier and smoother and the access to the water is nicer. Lots of good swimming and snorkeling and if you like cross the street for a drink or a... More

Swimming daily here is ideal. I snorkelled, watching the myriad of coloured fish, and coral, and enjoyed the warmer waters of the bay. Little or no breeze makes it a perfect swimming spot.

We don't normally have 'beach holidays' but we were chilling out so this was an ideal spot for reading and relaxing. Clean and warm water, not too busy even at weekends.

The ideal place to sit and enjoy watching the water and people. Plenty of bars and restaurants. A pleasant walk from there to Anse Vata Beach

Every time I see the beach at la baie des citrons, I am overcome with envy by those who live close by and whose morning exercise is a gentle swim across the bay. The water is incredibly clear and calm. There are shady spots to sit. In the summer, at least, there are pontoons that you can swim out to... More

Lovely sandy beach to sunbath on, water was very calm when we were there, and nice and warm to float around in!! Easy to get to via the bus from town, plenty of parking if self driving.
