Great place for a swim whilst in Noumea. If you are on a cruise, pick up a hop on-hop off bus ticket from the tourist centre at the pier and this will take you to Lemon Bay. Ideal spot for adults and kids alike. Lots of lovely cafes too👙☕️

Calm water and nice area. The beach itself is a little rough so don't expect powder-like sand. Visited by locals and tourists alike. Can be packed in the summer. I prefer Anse Vata personally. Close to shops and cafes.

This beach is much nicer in our opinion than Anse Vata as there is a broader strip of sand to enjoy with equally beautiful ocean. A popular soit anong the locals both during the lunch hour and the weekend. A quiet place and only at obe end are you in clise proximity to cafes and restaurants.

There are really 2 main beaches in Noumea. Baie des Citrons is the one I choose as it is less windy and the water is calmer. In summer, there are many people there right up to late afternoon.

The other day me and my family went to this stunning beach for a swim. We had a lovely time. The water was almost like a bath, and I loved the pontoon. This is a great beach to visit with any one young or old

I found my time in Baie de Citrons a really nice time and while I'm Canadian, my French is tres mal (very bad)! But if you're reading this review I think it's the only one in English so maybe it will help you. Basically you can walk about the beach and area easily and the beach is free to use.... More

The bay was sheltered so calmer waters. Very clean water and close to a variety of tourist-driven dining options. Only downside is my sensitive Australian feet are used to sand - not pebble beach 😜. I would stay in this area rather than nearby anse vata.

I would highly recommend this beach to anybody going to Noumea. The water is lovely and warm with little swell, the beach is soft with enough room to go around, and there is very little wind. We were here every day during our trip and loved every second of it. Fantastic view of the sunset. There are also plenty of... More

This part of town is clean, feels safe and has a number of restaurants, cares and bars. The views out across the ocean are nice. Getting there is less so.

The beach is one of the best in Noumea which appears to be loved by both locals and tourists alike. The beach is lovely and a great place for families, couples and those on their own. Great beach for snorkeling, swimming or just bobbing around in the calmness of this peaceful beach. The reef fish are gorgeous. I loved swimming... More
