Beautiful place and bars and restaurants for all ages. Male staff/manager at La Barca was our only unpleasant experience in terms of his manner.Aside from him everyone was helpful and friendly.

We probably liked here a little better than anse vata as it seemed to be more protected from the wind. Very similar beach though, more rocky sand type beach but still a nice place to hang out for a swim and lots of places to eat as well as lots of bars.

beautiful clear water, grass to sit on, trees to shade. Cafe's across road makes it an ideal place to soak up the sun and enjoy the beach

We stayed two weeks at the Hotel Beaurivage and everything was convenient with showers on the Beach, toilets available plenty of places to eat and relax. plus a travelling Ice Cream man works that area with his push Cart. Delicious ice creams and not expensive.

Rather more attractive scenery than at Anse Vata, and the buildings are more up market. However the food is only marginally better and the prices remain shameful.

very nice beach and protected from the wind compared to L'Anse Vata where it's always very windy...and perfect for the windsurfers and kite surfers. La Baie des Citrons est très familial.

Less than 25 metres to the beach which was always clean. Nice and calm, showers were very handy, lots of good company.

Always love spending a day at the Baie des Citrons. A Beautiful, safe, sheltered beach with great swimming (although a few of our students did say they were bitten by sealice). The pontoon is a great drawcard, an easy and enjoyable swim for our students. Great shopping nearby and also the sorbet and icecream cafes are awesome. The beach is... More

We spent a day here last week whilst visiting Noumea on a cruise. This was our second visits to Noumea and I would have to say that the main part of the town itself is a place to avoid. We were nearly mugged on our last trip and some of the locals are very unfriendly. However a short trip on... More
