Was not really worth the trip, Duck Island was way better. Having said that we were hoping for a snorkelling experience. Seemed that the Kite surfers had an absolute ball. The snorkelling was very average, we not much to see. Having said that we did see two turtles and a ray. But the underwater life was far less than Duck... More

Went here on a day trip by boat. The price was only $80 australian and that included a smorgasbord meal. Normally I do not like smorgasbord meals, this was worth the $80......... Delicious!!!!!!! There is a beautiful pool to laze or you can take a swim and have a drink by the pool in the bar. We walked around the... More

Visitors on day trips using the ferry could snorkel with turtles and enjoy the delightful small island beaches too. Turtles in greatest numbers on side away from the jetty.

we took a day trip via ferry to island. Not much to do but sit by the pool and read a book. food and drinks a little pricey for us. A beautiful view to the mainland. There are activities for the young and healthy.

very nice island, comfy rooms, beautiful views but crappy food (a buffet and expensive). you can rent a kayak and there are lots of turtles around the island. Beautiful.

located just in front of noumea city, this tiny island, easily reachable from the city by boat taxi, is the right place if you wanna spend a few hours completely relaxing yourself and escaping from the city

We had an enjoyable short trip to the island. We spent the whole afternoon sunbathing and we ate at the hotel. The buffet wasn't impressive but it's definitely good value.

Fantastic little island, great snorkelling and exceptional buffet lunch, not cheap, but you don't do this everyday. Will definitely be staying at L'Escapade on our next visit.

Not as good as Ile aux Canards but worth a visit for a few hours. A nice boat trip from Noumea and the walk around the island doesn't take long and is good. The water is very clear but the beach is only ok with one side dominated by parasailers and wind surfers
