Nice on a sunny day

On a sunny day this is the place to be and easy boat taxi ride. Snorkelling is easy, we took our own gear. No turtles though!

So lovely to just hop on a water taxi and be here in 3 minutes , the snorkelling is superb nearly as good as australias great barrier reef , a must thing to do while in Noumea

Quick and efficient taxi boat ride from Ansa Vata beach, hired snorkling gear on the island- not too expensive either and very good quality. Don't bother with the sun loungers- expensive and the sand is good- just avoid the dead coral. Café on the island not bad, not as expensive as I feared.

Good facilities, reasonable cost. Relaxing morning snorkelling, kayaking and swimming. Great water taxi ride over to the island. Beautiful!

Get there by either the yellow water taxi(more expensive) or the Glass bottomed boats (less expensive). Choose a clam day to go and hire snorkeling equipment on the island for a fantastic day. You won't be disappointed if your follow their suggested snorkeling trail.

Great place to enjoy the beach for a few hours or spend the day. Easy to walk all around the island & food services & some water sports rentals were available. Water taxi or watercraft access only but reasonable costing (for Noumea)... lol

Go over on a kayak! Average fitness is ok. Takes about 20-30 mins (we had a double kayak). Bring a waterproof bag for bigger items but there are two small waterproof hidey holes in a double kayak. Lots of people used the water taxi. Reef shoes a must as lots of dry coral on beach. Only a small island, quick... More

You catch a water taxi at Anse Vata Beach in Noumea for only $20 AUD and in 5 minutes you are in another paradise. Hiring snorkelling equipment is no problem and it's in good condition, almost new, although they have a charge of AUD$13 per hour. But you can see most spots in that one hour. The coral is colourful... More

Fun day trip. Snorkelling was great, although water was freezing (we went in July) so definitely pack a wetsuit if you plan to visit at this time of year. To hire snorkel gear was 1000F each and you could also hire beach chairs etc. quick and fun water taxi over, they leave about every 10 minutes and don't need to... More

The water taxi over is a bit pricey and the beach chair rentals very expensive. But if you don't have much time to go anywhere else the snorkeling is great.
