Lloyd made the trip super fun. Not only did we dive for almost two hours but we got a chance to see lots of sharks and swam with incredible schools of dolphins. Worth the 450 PGK! Tip - bring lots of sunscreen and snacks.

The fish life are not as prolific as those that I have encountered in Tufi, Madang or Kavieng. Because the dive sites are fringing reefs running close along the coastline, visibility was poor during my trip due to discharge from the main rivers. Paul, the dive guide, did shark calling at some sites and on 1 particular dive, 4 grey...

I have wonderful memories of diving with Kabiera Dive. Lloyd, the dive leader, and Richard, the skipper, were both very friendly and very helpful. Richard was especially willing to offer local knowledge, and his assistance with gear was careful and professional. Lloyd, who took me on most of my dives, was a local to the area and sought out the...

Rabaul is a very unique place with so much history, beautiful landscapes and wonderful people.
I greatly enjoyed the week I stayed at Kabaira hideaway with some excellent diving in PNG's tropical waters with the sound and unspoilt reefs and its marvellous biodiversity.
Also my first wreck dives were a lovely experience! There are plenty of ship- and aircraft wrecks...

This resort is not for the five-dive per day, nitrox-charged dive afficionado. It's for the wandering diver who wants a travel experience as well as a look under the Bismark Sea. A family-run operation that combines culture, history, home-cooked food and the fascinating venue of Rabaul, with its smoldering volcanoes, WW II relics and amazing devastation.
