Our trek with Kokoda Historical, the 2014 Harry Bould Memorial Walk, is named after Harry Bould, a member of the 39th Battalion who went missing, presumed killed, on the 29 July 1942. Our group of 13 from all parts of Australia (11 guys, 2 girls), was a mixture of young and old, ages ranging from 16 to 70. Unsure of... More

Thanks Daniel and the No Roads team for an unforgettable experience. My wife & I had done plenty of training(best was Arthurs Seat chairlift climb) but after a few days on the track we realised our training was nothing compared to what we were now experiencing. The scenery is amazing so please stop and take a minute to soak it... More

I went to Kokoda to join in the celebrations for a mates 50th birthday. I thought it would be tough but had no idea how tough, how eye opening and how inspirational the journey would be. I'd trained.. but not hard enough.. I knew some of the history of Australia's involvement.. but not very much. The experience was amazing with... More

The only way to go. This mob is easily the best quality in terms of tentx, food, guidance and first aid preperation. Our Tour Guide was Chadd. He was awesome! He read lots of poems. Would only recommend this company. They supply you with a hiking pack (for your porter), dry bags for your pack (Still take individual dry bags).... More

My father, sister and I recently completed the Kokoda Trail. It was 7 days of Mud, Rain, Humidity and Heat... well worth it though! We started from Kokoda and finished at Owen's Corner, so if you're deciding on which end to start, it is shorter to do it the way we went. As a first time hiker, it took a... More

Robert T. Always interested in the Kokoda story, I finally had the opportunity to walk the Kokoda trek in August 2013. Following recommendations from friends and family who had trekked with Escape Trekking Adventures (ETA) I sign up and started my 12 weeks training. I read heavily into the war stories and records to fully understand the history of the... More

I recently trekked with Escape Trekking Adventures in August last year. The trip was an Australian led expedition which I highly recommend as the guide coordinates the entire trip for you. Prior to the trip my mate Robert and I contacted the 39th battalion association and had an add placed in their Good Guts newspaper to the families of the... More

8 of us Concord Old Boys joined 8 others and went with Chad Sherrin of Adventure Kokoda and 39 local carriers and we had a challenging but very rewarding trek along the trail from Ower's Corner to Kokoda. We took Adventure Kokoda's 10 day premium military history option, which was fantastic.

Test yourself and discover a world where life is simple and happiness is not measured by belongings or wealth. Found some new friends who shared the experience... More

I trekked with Adventure Kokoda from Kokoda to Owers corner. Chad (With help from Bernie) were great trek leaders with an incredible depth of knowledge of the battle and genuine personal interest in the campaign and its veterans. The daily battle briefings great and made the trek experience richer. They had a great knowledge of the trail and the local... More
