It not a big deal, it is sad to see the guards standing in front in the humed hot .weather. Inside it is hot and a whole bunch of history to read
The ignominious war "heroes" in their caskets and urns are on display. Another site worth about five minutes.
The Panteon Nacional de los Heroes is an interesting and somber place to visit. There are 2 guards in front of the entrance. Once inside it looks like a small chapel and below you can see some caskets draped with the Paraguay. A good place to visit and learn something about the Heroes of Paraguay.
This memorial to Paraguay's war dead opens up an interesting aspect of Paraguay's history, particularly the unfortunate outcome of some of the wars which the country has been involved in. The monument is well cared for and beautifully presented, with immaculately uniformed armed guards outside. It is also in a nice location, on the corner of a popular central square.
It's really a beautiful monument to some of the tragic past. At night it is well lit up, changing colours in different ways. They have fully uniformed guards in front as well.

in the heart of the old Asuncion Downtown, great place, great food across the street. Great opportunity to buy goodies on the street from the local natives.
This is an excellent place to get a quick update on the main movers and shakers in Paraguaran history. Bronze and ceramic figures adorn niches and stained glass windows. The two guards that stand at attention, motionless in the hot Paraguaran sun are amazing and make excellent subject matter.
