From our favorit place to eat and drink, Lido, there is a view to this place just across the street. We saw the pretty young soldiers standing in there finest uniforms with antique rifles and wanted to see what was indoor. Inside you see a pantheon lookalike room with sculptures of importent men and in the midle of the room... More

On the outside it looks like a small chapel but actually is a monument to the heroes of Paraguay, is guarded by two guards that give more solemnity to the monument.

Don't bite the hand... More

The Panteon is not very big, but it´s beautiful. On Sundays it works as Church, and at 11am there is Catholic service over there. Around the Panteon you may buy souvenirs. Since you´re already there, go for a bite at Lido Bar, which is right across the street.

If you are coming from the states, you maybe in for a little disappointment when you visit historical sites such as el Panteon. It is a really cool place with lots of history, but when you are used to the Washington Monument, or the Statue of Liberty, the Panteon is a little, well, not the same. The other thing about... More

The ignominious war "heroes" in their caskets and urns are on display. Another site worth about five minutes.
