This is a very special monument in Paraguay. Right on the main street in Asuncion. It is well maintained and beloved by the Paraguayans. It is a tomb and not much more but you feel the solemnity of this place.

It's a pretty building on the outside. Inside are the remains of some of Paraguay's historical figures, as well as the symbolic "unknown soldier". It's located downtown, in front of Lido bar, a culinary landmark.

It is a must, specially if you are interested in the history of Paraguay. If you do not know the history of Paraguay, I suggest a guided visit.

A place to visit in downtown. It's one of the core centers of Asuncion. Gotta go and appreciate it, by day or by night. Both are awesome! And there are always activities around the park, so you'll have a complete tour of downtown.

one of the landmarks of Asunción, in the very city center, definitely to be visited. You'll find all the heroes of Paraguayan recent history.

You could pretty much see the Cathedral, Theather, Goverment Palace, Legislative building ,and Avenida Costanera in one day. Therefore is it easy to add this to your list as well but I would show up around 4:30 pm when the Color Guard comes and does the flag ceremony each day except Sunday I noticed. Great architecture and environment surrounding with... More
