A magnicent wooden building from the 19th century. One of many relics from the days of the British Empire. Stll in use and a pleasure to visit. More

This is one of the famous sights in Guyana and is definitely a must see!!! Made back in 1899 by Sir Arthur Blomfield and located on Barrack Street, it is one of the tallest wooden cathedrals in the world standing at a height of 143 feet! Tallest wooden building, truly a hidden wonder of the world. It looks great in pictures and serves as a great reminder that you have visited beautiful Guyana which by the way has so much more to offer. Come to Guyana and visit Kaieteur Falls....ahhhh breath-taking. Takes walks around Georgetown and stop by St. George's Cathedra for pics. Beautiful Guyana More
