Flight in a very small 9 seater plane was delayed for over 1 hour. The plane ride was very hot and uncomfortable. However, the natural scenery below was well worth it. There were a number of smaller waterfalls visible on the way and quite scenic within the green backdrop. Kaieteur Falls itself is an incredible work of nature that defies... More

The trip to Kaieteur Falls was one of the more memorable and magical adventures of my life. After climbing onto a VERY tiny 8-seater plane, we climbed to just 6,000 feet to cruise over the jungle into the heart of Guyana. The view takes in diamond mines, snaking rivers, and unending canopy - all close enough beneath us that I... More

A visit to these falls is a must! The pristine beauty is rare. One can hear the roar of the falls, feel the mist upon your skin, gawk at the sight with your eyes and smell the natural green rainforest on a visit here. It satisfies almost every single sense. The falls are easily accessible, a short walk from the... More

This has to be experienced. Guyana was such a wonderful and welcoming place, this was the icing on the cake. After a short plane ride (55 minutes) the earth opened up to show it wonders! Virtually indescribable.

Pictures nor videos does this place no justice. You feel the power of the falls the moment you fly over, then when up close, the intensity of the falls sends shivers through your body. The trip there is a shaky 1 hour flight where you fly over virgin rainforest, flat top mountains that suddenly rise out of the jungle and... More

if you have made it all the way to Guyana don't miss Kaieteur. You will not be disappointed. The sights of the rainforest, the sound of the rushing water and the moisture all around you is unbeatable.

50 minute flight over the rain forest, and the pilot does a fly past of the falls so you get a fantastic view of them before setting foot on the ground. We went to four viewing platforms which moved closer to the falls each time. The first view was the best overall view as you could see the whole of... More

you fly over jungle and rivers, the trip itself is spectacular. the waterfalls are amazing, just a big huge drop, and if you are lucky, from the airstrip to the three different view points you can spot a golden frog in the vegetation - this is a trip not to be missed if you are in Guyana - and it... A one hour flight over a sea of green, tracing a winding river, following a gorge and then circling the falls twice to get that great photo shoot. The pilot was considerate and very skillful. Chatting with him during and after landing at the falls, he reveals that he has done this trip over a thousand times. A thousand time... More

Towards the end of the flight from Georgetown to Kaieteur Falls, one feels as if one is entering Jurassic Park. In just minutes, one is transported from a tropical city to a vast and remote rain forest, parts of which have yet to be discovered. Right before arrival at the falls, one begins to see beautiful tepuis in the distance.... More
