This was my second visit to Kaieteur and I must say, it was no less impressive than my first. From the air, on the ground, you simply don't get tired seeing the waterfall from all different angles. The tour guides were so friendly, and ever-willing to give information. They even provided us with small tit bits, one which no one... More

More than the legends of lore, this Majestic Waterfall towers 822 feet from the Village of Tukeit below. A single 741 foot drop in the interrupting falling water makes it the only Water Fall in the world with such sheer power. I grew up hearing about this Wonder of the World. I saw multitudes of photos of it. Every Guyanese... More

My third visit with my seventeen year old daughter was still compelling just as the first in 1986.The walk from the airstrip to the falls can be quite demanding if you're not in shape. However that is soon erased as one puts eye on Kaieteur.Such grandeur and real power you feel as you watch in awe for the first time.... More

Flight in a very small 9 seater plane was delayed for over 1 hour. The plane ride was very hot and uncomfortable. However, the natural scenery below was well worth it. There were a number of smaller waterfalls visible on the way and quite scenic within the green backdrop. Kaieteur Falls itself is an incredible work of nature that defies... More

The trip to Kaieteur Falls was one of the more memorable and magical adventures of my life. After climbing onto a VERY tiny 8-seater plane, we climbed to just 6,000 feet to cruise over the jungle into the heart of Guyana. The view takes in diamond mines, snaking rivers, and unending canopy - all close enough beneath us that I... More

A visit to these falls is a must! The pristine beauty is rare. One can hear the roar of the falls, feel the mist upon your skin, gawk at the sight with your eyes and smell the natural green rainforest on a visit here. It satisfies almost every single sense. The falls are easily accessible, a short walk from the... More

This has to be experienced. Guyana was such a wonderful and welcoming place, this was the icing on the cake. After a short plane ride (55 minutes) the earth opened up to show it wonders! Virtually indescribable.

Pictures nor videos does this place no justice. You feel the power of the falls the moment you fly over, then when up close, the intensity of the falls sends shivers through your body. The trip there is a shaky 1 hour flight where you fly over virgin rainforest, flat top mountains that suddenly rise out of the jungle and... More

if you have made it all the way to Guyana don't miss Kaieteur. You will not be disappointed. The sights of the rainforest, the sound of the rushing water and the moisture all around you is unbeatable.

50 minute flight over the rain forest, and the pilot does a fly past of the falls so you get a fantastic view of them before setting foot on the ground. We went to four viewing platforms which moved closer to the falls each time. The first view was the best overall view as you could see the whole of... More
