This beautiful park is located in the heart of the City. It boasts walking and bike trails, a huge lake with boat rentals, well manicured lawns and the tranquility of a country retreat. We spent a wonderful day walking around the lake and enjoying the trails and scenery. It is also located close to the Botanical Gardens and Amusement Park,... More

It's a beautiful and way organized place for locals to practice sports and just be in open air taking it easy. You'll be delighted by the calm and tranquility. It has a lake and some areas for soccer as well as lots of grass to open a cloth and enjoy a picnic.

I visited just before midday on a 'holiday' Monday and was surprised at how quiet it was. There was only one entrance open, which if you get off the main Transmilenio at Simon Bolivar then you have to walk half way round the exterior to get in!! However, it is a lovely and well-maintained giant green space in the middle... More

Walk, run or jog your way around this big and green park in the middle of the city, close to the Botanic Gardens. From here you will have a great view over the mountains. Just lie down on the grass and relax.

Big, big park. With tents to buy some food or drinks after a run around the park, or maybe a walk. This park has entertainment for kids as well, and is pet friendly. You can have a picnic and enjoy a concert or fly a kite in August. Has also mini outdoors gyms if what you are looking for is... More

Hidden near the Chapinero neighborhood in Bogota, this park is truly a "central park." I only had the opportunity to see the southernmost part of the park on a Saturday. Families were hanging out picnicking and kids were even playing field hockey in what looked like a well organized tournament. Food stalls/carts are often open so you can sample some... More

Great place to run, walk, bike. 3.2km soft-surface path through the park. Can also continue onto the bike, running paths outside of the park. The park is very much alive with people doing all sorts of activities. Little food stands with fresh orange juice, fruits, etc. at one of the park entrances. Just wish the bathrooms were more conveniently located.... More

I spent so much time in this park. It is larger than other parks. On weekends there are a lot of people, specifically on Sunday. There are various playgrounds for children, a large pond where you can rent row or pedal boats, an exercise station, kiosks that sell snacks like fruit, corn, ice cream, drinks, chips, etc., there is also... The park is certainly a great setting for locals who don't have a chance to leave the city. It's a park, in the middle of the city. No place to really eat or drink, they could do a better job
