The Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santodimingo is amazing. The acoustics are brilliant, the stage is top-notch, the seats are comfortable... It's all very impressive. And that doesn't mention the acts that have been presented there. However, it's REALLY far to the north of Bogota and not that easy to get to.

We saw a folkloric dance performance at this fine concert hall slightly removed from the main tourist areas but easily accessible by taxi. The performance was well worth the time and effort to attend.

It has different size theaters. It offers great cultural performances especially in the classical music genre. The acoustic is very good and visibility is great from everywhere. What is not so easy is the access given Bogota's horrible traffic and also it's pretty much on the expensive side in pesos.

As part of the celebration of the 2nd International Music Festival of Bogota, Bogota is Mozart, we attended the concert No. 1 - Till Fellner, piano - Austria, in the theater. The theater is located in the northern part of the city with direct access of transmilenium. The facilities are spacious, with excellent acoustics. The theater offers comfortable taxi service.

The only bad thing about this theater is the location a little far to get to so you have to be sure you leave ample time to arrive there but otherwise it is very nice ,presents very good concerts and opera
