It;ls a nice place to go for a walk and see a a lot of the Colombian vegetation. Bogotá does not have big parks to go around so this is a great choice to spend a quiet afternoon and take some beautiful pictures. The coffee shop place is average, that I don't recommend.

One of my favorite places to escape the noise of the city. The garden is situated in the middle of Bogotá, but stepping inside gives you the feeling of being far away of the city.

This Jardin Botanico is beautiful but it is not as really handicapped accessable! When I tried to enter the park we were stopped at the gate and we needed to wait for nearly an hour to get a wheelchair. When we finally did get one it was in horrible shape and pieces fell off. There are many areas of the... More

Absolutely wonderful, with English speaking tour guide. Musical groups perform in the evenings. Many varieties of roses, tropicals, etc. well maintained.

We spend a beautiful afternoon at the gardens with our family, and the place was very well looked after. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to have a quiet time surrounded by nature.

Bogotá can feel really polluted sometimes, so when you need a breath of fresh air, come to Jardín Botánico for a peaceful escape. I toured the gardens clockwise from the main entrance and went from cooler climates to warmer more tropical ones toward the end. On a Saturday, it wasn't as crowded as I expected- there were plenty of secluded... More

Very cheap, maybe 5,000 COP to get in I think, and really beautiful. You might want to go here, walk around, have a coffee in one of the shops, but it's not a whole-day kind of thing. Maybe 2-3 hours and you'll see it all in detail. I'm not a bit garden or plant person, nor am I a photographer,... More

On our way to Bolivar Park we decided to stop off here first and we were not disappointed. The entry was extremely cheap especially when you are used to US prices and the park was much larger than anticipated. You could spend the whole afternoon exploring and relaxing at the park.

I spent an afternoon at the Jardin Botanico. They suggest you take a circular route around the park and then visit the center. This is what we did. I'd recommend allowing 2 hours to visit the park. During my visit there were a lot of roses of all colors, pink, red, fusia, and yellow. Also, make sure to visit the... More

A bit removed from the downtown area (actually closer to the airport, so if you have a few hours to kill on a layover this would be a nice relaxing excursion), this botanical garden is HUGE with many species from the different biospheres of Colombia. Each specimen is painstakingly labeled, much to the delight of any taxonomical freak. Staff is... More
