Gorgeous colonial town, one hour from Pereira, the capital of the department of Risaralda. Is very famous for its Botanical Garden, the cemetery Jesus Maria Estrada, a colonial style cultural Centre (Casa de la Cultura),the church Maria Inmaculada in the main square. Great climate, less than 1 hour from Pereira, along a winding road with stunning veiws. Worth visiting for old colonial buildings, including the civic building in the main square which holds cultural events most evenings. Best place to visit is the Alejandro von Humbolt Botanic garden filled with native birds, which as well as holding a living collection of important... More
