You will surely be surprised what a creative artist mother nature is. Moon valley is such a marvellous creation of eroded rock in a desert like landscape. The rocks in the area are made up of a kind of clay, giving the place it's distinctive look. It is about 10 km from La Paz. A small fee has to be... More

A weird eroded lunar landscape very different to Atacama's namesake but just as worthwhile to visit. Some people actually flattened parts and built houses on it! More

Well worth a visit - take a tour or a taxi. The landscape is something you won't see anywhere else and will only take you an hour or so to explore it thoroughly. More

A walk from out of this world, close enough to town and well served by touring buses. While southern La Paz is generally quite safe, going to the Valle at dusk is not advisable. More

The Valle de la Luna is a fun tourist attraction about 20-30 minutes outside of downtown La Paz. We enjoyed the hike (the longer one takes about 45 minutes, including stops for pictures), and the views within the park are quite beautiful. The stone formations are quite impressive, and the depth of the canyons is astounding. Unfortunately, the view in... More

Moon Valley had cool rock formations and made for some good pictures but it wasn't a must see. It was only 10 Bolivian pesos per person to get in though, so that made it more worthwhile. More

Took about an hour to get around t leisure. The went into Malassa town to the zoo. I was blown away by the 3 enormous condors. Birds the size of eagles were flying in and out of the cage to steal the condors food. The condors were much too big to get out. More
