The museum was small, but for the low price of entry it was worth paying just to see the courtyard - a great example of colonial architecture. There were several floors of religious art, as well as some more modern pieces by Bolivian artists.

Besides being at Murillo square, which is a fantastic place for people watching, this art gallery has a really nice balance of new and old art. Highly recommend putting it on your list.

This was a wonderful museum, beautifully displayed and curated. Colonial religious art was presented thematically, showing some of the distinctive, (and eccentric) features of Andean art - guardian angels with blunderbuses, the trinity with three identical Jesus faces, and modern art collection had some spectular artists we never see in the US

Worthy of a visit, very nice permanent exhibit an temporary ones are a must if you live or often hang out at La Paz.
