Puerto de Punta has one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. It's worth going there around 7 p.m. to see the sunset on summer and take a walk around. Also, if you're lucky enough you may see some sea lions! All the times I saw them was around midday. They are very funny creatures.

We stayed here off season so it was quiet. The apartment was beautiful, way nicer than what the building looks like it might hold. Quite luxury and huge! It had three rooms plus a "maids" quarters where you could put up two kids easily. Washer and dryer, nice kitchen. The amazing part is the view and the patio where we... More

Puerto de Punta del Este is the best part of Uruguay. My review is based on spending three weeks in Montevideo, Uruguay and taking day trips to all the other cities(e.g. Piriapolis, Colonia). The port of Punta del Este is located beside Playa Mansa, which is the best beach in Uruguay that I have seen. The port is what highlights... More

The port has an amazing selection of boats and yatches, but what stroke me most was a couple of sea lions sleeping on the dock.

Its a fancy place to spend some hour walking around boats and yachts, feeling the gentle cold breeze of souther Uruguay, and the sea spray Nice place, nice hardwares on there, but nothing you can call touristic, except you are a boat lover

You will inevitable end up in the port area if you spend any time in PDE, and that is both because of it's location and that it is just a really nice area. There are some great restaurants over here that overlook the water and it is a great area for an evening stroll. Easy to see the yachts as... More

We took a historical tour of Punta del Este by bike and it was very enjoyable. The owner, Alicia, loved her city and conveyed that in the few hours it took to tour the town.

Its an overall fun place to visit. This is were you go to take a boat ride to Isla Gorriti or Isla de Lobos, to get fresh fish, to watch the sea lions or just walk the port and see the big yachts.
