roam around and enjoy the marina, take a lunch or have a beer at the pier, Moby Dicks is quite nice, and the service is wonderful. Also, by the marina you can eat on the ocean side overlooking the bay. Winter is wonderful, not crowded, people walking along the shore, animal lovers with the pets romping in the surf. peaceful...

Small pier, with fishing boats and yachts in the marina, very relaxing to walk along the water with the background of modern architecture lof ow rise condos, near the center of town.

Nicely situated small harbour with picturesque fishing boats, shops selling fish or knick-knacks of various kinds. The sea lions that you read about are in view only when the fishermen have come in and are cleaning their catch - during our visit this was not the case because it was a Sunday; we only saw a single animal swimming in... A nice place for a walk and on a summer day enjoy an ice cream watching a spectacular sunset over Isla de Lobos.

Punta is the place to go to if you want to feel as if you are part of the "rich and famous". Top notch entertainment, beautiful people amazing beaches and restaurants. It's the Monte Carlo of South America during the summer moths and deserted during the winter.

This must be Punta del Este's top attraction for all the family. A tranquil driveway bordering the yacht marina, wooden walkways, glorietas, posh restaurant with al fresco dining. Then into the port itself, the old Customs House and fishermen selling their daily catch. In the late morning, when fishermen gut their catch, dozens of seagulls and a few sea lions... More

My friend and I traveled here to spend a couple of days. We enjoyed the beach and the scenery but this area is extremely touristy and expensive. It isn't really worth the visit unless you enjoy spending a lot of money. Food and accomodations is very expensive. It is a very clean place to visit with an array of restaurants... More

If it`s for a walk, a drink in one of the restaurants with terraces by the sea or to watch and photograph the sunset (don`t forget the camera, you will regret it), the Puerto /Harbour de Punta del Este is one of Punta`s most beautiful places. By sunset, the sea lions get out of the water and you can get... More
