Just outside the wealthy UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, near the Marina Mall, is a fairly new project that was constructed as an authentic model of a Bedouin settlement. It begins with a replica of a central well and further along, a demo of how water was hauled up for irrigation supply. Small marketplace stalls with grass roofs hold an... More

Visited this site briefly and it was hard to tell whether it was still being built or whether it had seen better days and was in decline. There was a small market there which seemed to attract the tourist rather than the replicas of mosque, Bedouin camp and other replicas. While it seemed to attract a lot of visitors overall... More

I only had a short time, 15 min here as our driver was on a tight schedule to get us back to Dubai. It's a tourist attraction so is a bit tacky and gets the crowds in. I didn't mind it, worth a visit & perhaps a bit more time to appreciate the exhibitions, culture & maybe go for a... More

Not recommended if you have to make a special trip to see this. There is really not much to offer in terms of heritage. Quite disappointing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at the Heritage Village, lots to see and stalls where you could buy gifts. I personally enjoyed the carpet makers at work and the potters at their wheels, it is well worth the visit and I was surprised it was free to go in, the only problem was coming out we needed a taxi to... We were on our last day in Abu Dhabi and decided to visit the Heritage Village before our ride on the Yellow Boats. Firstly it was free and full of people, always a good sign. Looked at the craft stalls and finally found a camel to ride without the desert experience. Only around in a circle but all good. There... More

But once inside a pleasant hour spent wandering around and viewing the various museums, souk stalls and Berber village set up. A word of warning... Toilets are awful !!

The concept is there but I did feel a little let down overall. Not sure if you need those market stalls, all selling the same things. I had a drink at the restaurant and the food (buffet) did look nice. Lots of other things I would rather have done.

Somewhat disappointed. This site tries to do too much on a small site. Elements are interesting, eg the reconstructed dwellings but the archeological dig is pointless. Maybe a small fee to increase staff, the site was shabby and compared to everyone else, untidy. Still worth a visit

Although this SHOULD be of enormous interest....a bit of history....it was so poorly put together that it was verging on being boring! There were some nicely presented and fairly interesting artefacts displayed in one of the buildings but, the outside was the least interesting History experience I have ever had! There is ...sadly....a Camel tied up in an enclosure...it could... More
