This attraction is the perfect place to come to learn about Abu Dhabi before the oil was discovered. Food, shelter, work, clothing, commerce, defense, relations...it is all here. And it costs nothing to visit. The best part s shopping. The cost is well below the cost of things in the malls, you are buying from local merchants, and in some... More

Just as well entry is free, because I would have been really annoyed if I had had to pay money for this. I cannot begin to imagine how or why anyone would find this unpleasantly run down, unfriendly 'attraction' in any way interesting! Precious little to see, what few animals subsist in this place are in a very poor and... More

Visiting this heritage village gives a very brief view of the past and the lifestyle of the people there. The artisan buildings are well worth the price of admission and if you take the time to talk to these individuals, you will learn much about their crafts and see them at work. Be sure to take enough time to visit... More

There are only hints in the small museum and static displays of what Abu Dhabi was like before 1960. or thereabouts .It's only when you look across the bay at the City of today that you get a feeling for the enormous changes that have taken place over the last 50 or so years, and the tremendous impact that these... An interesting visit if you are in the vicinity. Perhaps visiting Marina Mall or the Emirates Palace. We don't think it is worth the journey just to see it. If you go just bear in mind it is not the picture you see in a lot of brochures. That is the old one we presume. It is right at the... More

We visited this village as part of a package deal. The day we visited it was about 40c so was quite warm. I suggest bringing plenty of water, hats and sun screen and money. There are quite a few souvenir stalls with a reasonable range of good. The museum, tho' small had many interesting artefacts, including many old photographs. The... More

If you need a first impression, how the People lived, how they starter with agriculture, ... it's a reconstruction of lot of things, but it gives a good idea what is was, in the past.

While visiting Abu Dhabi I would recommend visiting here. It is great to look at how the local people used to live before the oil. It is not the biggest of attractions but gives you great views of the city. Also would recommend to get souvenirs from here.

The heritage village is nice because there is no fee to get in and you take take your time or simply run through the place. It has a decent amount to do and see with kids to kill an hour or so, but don't plan for a whole ton of time here. It is worth the stop if you happen... More

I found the Heritage village interesting especially the museum and artifacts, it was very hot in June to visit and it was difficult to get a taxi outside when we were ready to leave.
