An old very nice building, nicely hand made decoration, an old train more than a 100 years old refurbished and parked outside

just the structor is good, but now the building serves as " nothing" so you can just view it from outside, where inside is nothing.

The Hejaz Railroad Station building is just outside the City Walls of the Old City of Damascus. Simply enter and you leave the hustle, bustle and noise of the city behind you. The line still operates as a tourist attraction but not from the Hejaz station. There is a free bus transfer to teh actual station (quite a way out along the line) The guy in the museum can tell you when the it leaves, but he may be wrong by up to an hour. Don't despair. Currently, it's a book store and one old locomotive. Building is good to see, only if you have too much free time and have completed all the list. Check it on Google Earth to know the current situation. Now, It's just a building without any rails connected to it. 33°30'40.24" 36°17'41.79"

I visited on 22/10/2009. The museum is open from 9.00am to 1.00pm every day except Fridays. It is very well cared for and in addition to the outdoor locomotive display, there is an excellent indoor hall with railway artefacts and photographs. The workshops are also included in the visit and are as were when the steam railway was fully operational.... More

The railway museum and collection of old steam engines at Cadem is a wonderful introduction to the Hedjaz railway. The museum is attached to the original works, over 100 years old, which still keeps a few steam locomotives in running order for enthusiast trips.
