If visiting the Old City of Damascus, this is a 'must' to see. A beautiful traditional palace with courtyards and fountains and historic chambers in magnifiicent traditional design and settings. Well laid out. Informative and very attractive.

Ancient residence (upper-class, to say the least), beautifully restored. Take some time in the garden as well and enjoy the calm and shade although it's in the old city.

This old house is a fine example of the wooden houses of Damascus. The school room and the airy sitting rooms have wonderful ceilings and walls covered in brocades. They all open out to the shady courtyard with its fountains and orange trees. The buildings themselves are works of art with their coloured patterns and the rooms have been converted... More

It would be easy to spend days there. Transports the visitor a certain variety of freedom to wonder what life was like there-- like Few places of it's kind do. The information given is simple and concise. The brocades in the room devoted to dress make what passes for "fashion" in the modern world seem precisely that--what is there is... More

This is one of the best refurbished old Damascus Homes to visit while in Damascus! The walk to the Azem Palace is well worth it as all routes go via the many souks... Once inside let your mind travel back to the time it was occupied by the Azem Family. The ceiling works are so nice that you just look... More
