As people have said it is still closed for renovations (like the rest of Doha!) but its still work a walk to see the camels who live next door and also its right next to the Souq and within a short distance from the Corniche.

construction around the fort, and. The interesting part, was a camel pen beside the fort. About 12 camels being fed and watched by the camel tender. That made our journey to the fort not a complete waste of time.

I love the Port! Serene and calm.. real nice to sit and just be there. The breeze adds to the beauty of it.. and you feel refreshed by just there.

You can't miss it because of its location, but 2 minutes looking and one photo is enough to put a check mark for this one...

During restoration in the late 1970s, however, many of the original features of the fort were lost. The fort is now being returned to its former glory, as part of the neighbouring Souq Waqif project, and is closed... More

Yes when you go visit there is a coral of Camels so the tourists can see the animal up close. It is quite good for the more timid who don't want to go out to the desert.

Unfortunately this was closed for renovations. Was unable to gain access but part of Souq Waqif so not total waste of time.

and it's good to see a bit of the historical monuments they have available. Doha is trying to provide more to do for expats and one of the things is making their (even though few) monuments accessible.
